  1. Not to be negative, but say you do paps locally...maybe on some women who have gone for years without...and it comes back abnormal. Are you willing to do the colpo for free? LEEP for free? Follow up for free? Will the local oncologist take on the hyst or radiation? I have never practiced as a civilian, but I can see these things potentially becoming an issue...depending on the patient population, even getting them the results may be difficult...maybe I am a pessimist, but I do feel that people in 3rd world nations probably appreciate your efforts more than those at home. Go to Africa and fix some fistulas...THAT would be amazing.

    Grey's Anatomy

DVR...must get DVR. Set it for every episode. My husband almost made me miss the premier last night because he's watched a bunch of episodes out of order so he's confused. I didn't think it was the greatest either, but kinda what I expected. I'm beginning to get a little tired of Meredith though...always seems so sad and conflicted.
  3. I think you have a very valid point. The issue of skydiving while prgnant has always been a difficult one for me. My first pregnancy I jumped until I saw a heartbeat (around 6-7 weeks). My second, I quit the instant I had a positive pregnancy test...not because I thought skydiving was an unnecessary risk but because I KNEW that if I miscarried or something went wrong, I would blame myself regardless of the knowledge that miscarriages aren't anyone's fault. Both pregnancies I quit jumping early on because of that feeling. I started jumping again after my oldest son was born. Now, as the breadwinner in my family (so my husband can stay at home and raise my kids), I've chosen to hold off on jumping once again...the life insurance that would have to raise my kids while my husband busted his butt to pay the bills isn't nearly what my children deserve...and I can't consciously take that risk. Of course, we also moved from Mississippi to Idaho where we have less access to jumping... and a lot of outdoor activities to do. I do miss skydiving and the comraderie, but my responsibility is to my family now.
  4. I AM Trophy Husband's wife. A DO does a lot of the same medical training as an MD, but they are also trained in things such as manipulations, etc. (To take it to the most simplistic level, think of cracking backs). DO's have a different testing for credentialing as opposed to our medical licensing exams, but they are afforded the same priviledges as MD's. Some DO's do osteopathic residencies and concentrate on the holistic approach to problems while others take a more traditional approach and train along side MD's. One of my partners is a DO, but she doesn't use her training as much as she relies on traditional medicine (drugs). Some of the best physicians I have ever met are DO's as are some of the worst. Same with MD's. It's really just the medical school education that is different. And, for the record, I NEVER said that DO school was easier.
  5. Come on Down! I'm sure we could get some video of that!
  6. RevJim---Now, THAT's funny! TrophyHusband--- Shouldn't you be in the kitchen or cleaning toilets?
  7. Greeat! Only if the back of the t-shirt says "nailed!" Man, I love Mike Igo!
  8. Before our son was born, I swore I'd never get on a load with my husband after having children. Not only do I often get on the same load with him, but I was a passenger for one of his tandem training jumps...NEVER AGAIN, but that's just because I hate being an experienced jumper without a rig/control. Problem with not being on the same load as your spouse is that you can never jump with him/her again, and that's something we really enjoy...I'm much more comfortable being on a load with my husband now than immediately after our son was born.
  9. Hey Lame Ranger---After speaking to Mike this past weekend, we cannot call it the "Up Yours" Boogie...apparently this is disrespectful or something. My other choice for a name is definitely unacceptable. Any suggestions?
  10. Hey Guys, looks like we're that much closer to the "Up Yours" Boogie of 2005
  11. actually pj is the team leader. wes has good days, but he isn't very consistant. william could join the team if he can keep up last weekend's performance. by the way, this is jumpdoc's husband/houseboy/chef/sexslave posting.
  12. teeeeeeeeeeeam eight grand!
  13. Yesterday I made a debit purchase at Walmart for $70. When I ran my card, there was a weird beep and I can't remember what the screen said, but it was something I didn't recognize. I asked the checkout girl what what was up and she didn't know as it was her first day. The purchase was approved, i signed my reciept and was on my way. Today I was looking at my account online and noticed that the $70 was taken from my account and the credited right back. Wanting to do the right thing, I called the Walmart and was transferred to accounting. After explaining my situation I was put on hold and then cut off. I called back and they when the woman I talked to looked into it, she said everything was fine. I explained to her that I had $70 worth of groceries that I didn't pay for, she gave me a near unintelligable explaination that made no sense and insisted that I had in fact paid for the groceries. The bottom line is that the money was credited back to my account and I got the groceries for free. Should I persue this further, or have I fulfilled my obligation of being honest?
  14. Once this thing is settled (in the skydiver's favor, of course), we MUST have a huge, huge "up yours" boogie...maybe the airport board members could do a jump.
  15. Thank you. This is so important to us. For anyone who has ever been to Gold Coast, the DZ is the building at the very end of the tarmac nearest to the site where NG is putting up their operation. And, if I am not mistaken, it's not a parcel of land near the airpoprt, it is ON airport property (Laurel, correct me if I am wrong). There are a few sites out there that tout TLIA as a prime location for an industrial park/commercial development. Laurel is right in that we should be able to co-exist with any of these folks peacefully...especially since most of these sorts of businesses don't do much work over the weekend.
