  1. As Refugio suggested, the lawyer probably meant prima facie but the weed was too good so it came out a bit different. prima facie : (pry-mah fay-shah) adj. Latin for "at first look," or "on its face," referring to a lawsuit or criminal prosecution in which the evidence before trial is sufficient to prove the case unless there is substantial contradictory evidence presented at trial. A prima facie case presented to a Grand Jury by the prosecution will result in an indictment. Example: in a charge of bad check writing, evidence of a half dozen checks written on a non-existent bank account makes it a prima facie case. However, proof that the bank had misprinted the account number on the checks might disprove the prosecution's apparent "open and shut" case. Always remember the danger. Never forget the fun!
  2. No, I finished up a while back. Rained a lot but we got it done -- graduated four new instructors. Only had to send one home empty. Und falls sie nicht wissen, Deutsch, es ist nicht zwingend dz.com beitreten wenn sie beginnen fallschirmspringen. Always remember the danger. Never forget the fun!
  3. The biggest difference is the 20 trillion Chinese watching it live. Good for Jeb. +1 As usual, he has three time more eyeballs on his exploits than see the Super Bowl every year. Always remember the danger. Never forget the fun!
  4. ask that crazy lady in Colorado what she takes; seems to give her all years of 'mile-high' hallucinations without any apparent ill effects. Always remember the danger. Never forget the fun!

  6. Just because Jarno is an overbearing pompous ass does't mean you have to act like one too, O Great and Powerful Brand and Marketing Consultant. :-) Always remember the danger. Never forget the fun!
  7. If you knew the truth why did you LIE about it? What a dick. Always remember the danger. Never forget the fun!
  8. don't think they did. see the little bit of hand lower down? Plus that would be really good photoshop to get 21's shirt so perfect. Always remember the danger. Never forget the fun!
  9. The Spectre is not a rectangle canopy and it you load it up it is not boring either. You did get one thing right, though; it will last 2K+ jumps. Always remember the danger. Never forget the fun!
  10. No theory, just facts of basic physics. Fascinating. Tell me more about untheoretical basic physics. Quantum or Newtonian? Your choice, I can handle either. Well, maybe, just maybe - hear me out here, Doc - a quantum "many worlds" interpretation of what she wrote might make sense. As in, it might not make sense to us here, but possibly in some parallel universe... I bow to your... uncertainty. Always remember the danger. Never forget the fun!

  12. It is, but I manage. How bowchoo, Doc? I mean, it must be tough to be so much smarter than everyone else that you can "logically" turn "a lightly loaded Stilleto with dacron lines works great for me" into "Stilletos are awesome." Do you apply that "logic" to patient diagnoses too? I smell a Nobel Prize here. Always remember the danger. Never forget the fun!
  13. lol, will do, but you'll be old by then. And is that the best (and ONLY) example you can find? A guy who probably puled too low then definitely cut away too low? I rest my case. Always remember the danger. Never forget the fun!
  14. No theory, just facts of basic physics. Dacron does not slow the opening down so much as smooth it out because it has more give to it. Dacron is thicker, so it can't wind up as tight as tiny lines. This in turn allows the canopy to balance out even if it is twisted so that it spins slower, if at all. These attributes reduce the factors that lead to line twists that turn into spinners. More important than line type though is the wing loading; the higher it is, the more likely any canopy will wind up into a non-recoverable spin. Again, history and basic physics: The sport did not have spinner problems until people started loading up their canopies and going to microlines of various types. Always remember the danger. Never forget the fun!
  15. Crossfire 119? It COULD be a perfect wingsuit canopy if you didn't load it at what -- 1.7? Seriously, dude, that's like complaining that the 7-0 suture you used on a high-tension skin closure didn't hold. Ask someone with a clue about canopy performance how different the same parachute acts at 1.2 v 1.7... ellipticle or otherwise. Always remember the danger. Never forget the fun!
