    Not disputing that arson happens or that overall figures are important. It's more a case of, were there arson cases last year? Absolutely! But none of them got out of control. Were any of the massive fires that killed billions of animals and made international headlines traced back to arson? No.

    I raise this primarily because the Murdoch media here are heavily conservative and toe the anti-AGW line hard. Arson was an easy scapegoat to deflect attention from examining climate change as a trigger, and pushed extensively as a narrative. I am subsequently extremely wary of arson claims without further evidence.

    It's also extremely hard to prove - even if it is true.

    Does it not also reduce statutory rape for non-straight people to a misdemeanor? Equaling the previous for straight SR?

    It sounds like they cannot make up their mind on the stats.

    I would never have believed 75%

    I was thinking more like 5%.  13% was surprising.

    I still think 10 years is a bit much.  17 and 27 may be one thing, (and that's a big MAYBE) but a judge shouldn't have to waste time listening to arguments over a 14 and 24 year old.  I mean wtf could they possibly say, that "she's wise beyond her years and that as a sexually mature woman she has the right to choose her lover?  It's her body - she can have a baby and even abort it without parental consent,  but she can't choose who the father might be?  Outrage!"

    I mean I know it's ridiculous, but things are different in this ever changing progressive landscape - young aspiring home makers are hip to women's rights these days. . .they catch on quick!

    As I understand it - It does Both.  It lessens the penalty for all offenders and adds language for LGBT protection (Maybe should be called equality) since they were likely being over-penalized in relation to "straight" offenders, under the old wording.

    But the jist of the reasoning behind it is two fold - Fairness, and, that there are too many cases to prosecute, so they are needing to lessen the burden on the courts.

    I challenge you to see if Biden could even tell the difference, with out the media prompting him.

    I'd be willing to bet he couldn't tell the difference between an AK and an M-14.

    I'm sure that when you saw that ad, without the media telling you what to think, your very first thought was, Holy Fuck - "That's a MIG!!!" . . . . Right?  Be honest.

    OR - you could admit that you didn't even think about, or see the add before you were told what to think, and until someone gave you fuel to hate Trump even more.

    So - I had a friend that worked for American Airlines as a project manager (Actually Sabre).

    He was overseeing a web page and stuck a place holder of a guy riding a Harley with a sheep,  in and forgot.

    He admitted he was being lazy and just grabbed a pic. They made a big stink about it and he almost lost his position.

    Should the CEO of Sabre be held accountable for the hello kitty?  In closer comparison, should the director of the TSA be held accountable?

    Do you really think that Trump had any say in the hiring of this individual?

    Be realistic.
