Side note: I'm only about 10 min from the DZ...If I can swing it, I already have the president of the Co. convinced that i should be able to go to the DZ and grab a Hop and Pop during lunch, so as to improve my job performance...He says that it is ok with him, but that the office manager would have the decision...

I was (maybe still) having a similar situation. She's just gonna have to learn to get over it. I make time sacrifices. I only go out there once a weekend. UInless she wants to go party out with our friends. Then there is a Friday appearance.

Anyway,
My s/o finally did her first tandem last weekend at the Summer Jam Boogie. I am very proud of her. It was also very memorable for me to be able to wave at her as I jumped out backwards from the otter...she says that was the coolest thing she ever witnessed...I told her to wait...she's gonna see shit she never dreamed of...

So,

She says that she get's it. I don't think she really does. It was more of an amusment park ride for her. She had me get her another tandem ride already. But I think that she will have a hang-up about the cessna. I hope she goes through with it. I also hope that she does it for her, not for me. That is the most important part of the deal. She HAS to do it fior her.

We'll see.

Thats why I don't go to bed with anyone with more than four limbs...

Yes, but I know I wouldn't be pining for it at the end of the day. After all .... It is the adrenalyn that really does it for me. And I certainly would not pay as much or go without as much as I do to get to skydive.

I have an MP3 player with a couple of songs that I really like. It has an arm band that makes it easy to wear.(Under the suit)I take it to listen to on the long ride up while I visualise my dive. It seems to relax me even more and I end up with a better dive. The only time I listen to it after the door is open is when i am doing a H&P and no one else is going to be any where near me under canopy. I just don't think it is safe to not be able to hear someone behind you or above you while flying your wing.

I can't say that I havn't worn it...I just don't anymore. I did find, though, the Protrack Beep is still loud enough to hear, even at full volume.

I just dropped some hard copy stills off to Queen B during lunch. There's a great one of Pilot Mike while he's flying the otter. There are also some good ones of Angalee's CReW dive from above, some swoop pics, and so on. Kathy says she'll run them off on the scanner and post them some time tomorrow.

As for when I turned it on, it was on auto. And yes even over the prop noise and the door being open I could hear the 1000 ft. beeps.

I deployed sub terminal - The jump was logged - It was just logged incorrectly.

None of the jumps this weekend were lower than 13.5
