  1. Tears in my eyes, sadness in my heart. Love from the NW
  2. Never give up hope. When my rig was stolen two years ago, it found it's way home within the year. It spent time in a storage unit, that was then bought by someone from lack of payment. The person tried to sell the contents not knowing it was stolen. Serial numbers are key. good luck!
  3. Next years Nationals is in Chicago - should we call them for a team room today?
  4. Curious if there are any teams that have already reserved a Team Room at this years Nationals is Arizona that might want to share? Just found out all the rooms are taken. 4 way Team from NW looking to share.
  5. We had gear stolen in January in So. Cal, and thought it was gone for good. There was a happy ending to our story.......all of our gear was recovered two weeks ago thanks to someone at Square 1. Our gear has been in a storage unit since stolen. Someone bought the storage unit (the rent had not been paid - and in California after 60 days it is auctioned). Some guy - not the thief, was trying to sell our gear and the WONDERFUL employee at Square1 called in the serial numbers to find that they were stolen. She called the police and they confiscated our stuff and now we are waiting to pick it up from the Police Dept. At the time it was stolen, the police officer that took our report told us we would most likely never see it again. Of course after 5 months - I didn't think we would either. More patience needed. I hope the ending to this story is they catch the person who stole it and put them in jail for a very long time. Good luck in getting your gear back. It is a horrible feeling to realize it is gone. I know. Just hope you have the same luck as we did.
  6. Well said jmpwme! This thread was about Alloy needing a new team mate, not an Intermediate team bashing. Catie - any luck? I hope you find someone soon. We definitely are looking forward to tough competition - and fun teams to train beside. Wishing you guys the best. By the way - 8 way would be fun to join us together. Let us know if we can find at least 3 people from your team or elsinore. See you all at Poker Run.....yet another competition where the Stakes are high. Fluffy
  7. Another thought to all this mayhem over the video switch. What if this were the Olympics and a team or individual broke a rule and then tried to cover it up? I think if you do something wrong - admit it and take the consequences. Covering it up shows guilt and implies trying to cheat. Meet director made the right decision - as did the people that pointed out the mistake.
  8. Relax, take a deep breath. Take time to feel the air.
  9. We had a very successful balloon jump in Gervais Oregon this morning. Dark when we got there at 5:45am. Patchy fog. But the sun began to rise, and we climbed into the Balloon. 7 of us. 4 Wing guys and 3 RW. Two at a time - the first group at 4500 ft, 2nd group at 5500 - I got out at about 6500 and my date said he was close to 7K. What a wonderful feeling stepping off the side of the basket. Quiet and then a whoosh.
  10. If you could put myself and Eric on for RW-boones drinkin-balloon jumpers, he just has to check his schedule but definitely we want in on the fun. Thanks for organizing the balloons - I have been thinking of how to rent one.
  11. I am pretty sure I am going to want to be on one of the balloons jumps September 10th. It is one of the experiences I need to have. Where do I sign up and how many slots are going to be allotted for non-wingsuiters?
  12. Hey, next time you do balloon jumps - let SDO people know - via email. I really want to do a balloon jump someday......
  13. I was very happy when you did point that out (the earlier the better)- Thank you for your observation. I do look at the other people during the plane ride up that are around me, but I think my mind was on the competition this time. We are all prone to forget things at times, and have our mind on other things. I am glad to be with a group of people that care about each other. He is a very safe and awesome camera flyer, it just goes to show that we all need to watch out for each other. If this means the person holding the ladder points at each persons chest strap as they load the plane - the more pre-cautions the better.
  14. Last year, we went to Lake Elsinore. They had a 6 way scramble if you like RW. Lot's of people - tons of fun. The teams are split up to even out the Experienced and newbies on a team. A great place to skydive - the people there are extremely friendly.
