There's always lots of jobs in my neck of the woods for experienced RNs. West coast pay is better than other places in the U.S. I've been a Trauma ICU RN in Portland Oregon, Vancouver, Wa for 20+yrs. I have not done U.S. travel nursing but have worked for local agencies. The Northwest has gloomy weather for skydiving about 4-6 months out of the year however we make it work. Portland has 4 dropzones within 45mins to an hour. We also have about every other adventure sport you could want!!! The ICUs that I have worked in are accustomed to people taking jobs for a year and then moving on. I rarely see agency traveling RNs but we do get them on occasion. You could easily just take a reg job, 3 days/wk 12hr shifts, or even part time. PM me if you want anymore info from me. Whale oil beef hooked

Dangerous stowless bag from Seamless Rigging !!!
barefut replied to Skydive_Gregor's topic in Gear and Rigging
I asked Brad to explain how the stowless bags compare to rubberband stows and how it could provide the line tension to avoid line dump. I'm a double wrap on all stows kinda guy (250lbs door weight). roughly 12 lbs of tension per stow. I was told it's like comparing apples to oranges. The design works by controlling the bulk of the line. He was very responsive and friendly, however my mind has not grasped how this can work and still be safe. I'm curious to read other's posts on this. Whale oil beef hooked -

Just rotate yer Dbag a couple times in the opposite direction when you pack it in the tray. Not serious at all.. Whale oil beef hooked -
Congrats on your pregnancy MerlinS!! I don't reply to a lot here but I'm gonna chime in as a skydiver/tunnel flier and most importantly a 25yr Trauma Nurse and father of 3 little tunnel rats. The choice is yours but IMHO 1st trimester ok if you are not puking.. 2nd and 3rd when your balance and equilibrium is not at it's best, maybe take a break. Everything could go just fine but if it doesn't it's something you will live with forever. Take a little break and enjoy your little peanut. There is nothing better than kids!! Not even skydiving or sex :) Whale oil beef hooked

Awesome to go from monkey costumes to dreads and petchulie stank. Just go as an Olympic diver and you'll be fine. Or make sure your suit has an authentic leather monkey butt so nothing will cover yer hackey :) Oh ya.. got a buddy that's a TI and he won't tandem dudes with hair-knots. Not for safety's sake, just because he doesn't like dudes with hair-knots. Whale oil beef hooked

Dude... Look at the license #s!!! 4 digit D# !! Talking smack is fun but be careful. You really don't want a verbal spanking from the skydive community. I'm really lucky to be friends with a 3 digit D# jumper and his insight and stories are incredible. I personally would love to meet this dude!! Whale oil beef hooked -
Thanks for the files!!! I have never found a "good" instructional video on flat pack. These will help. I'm a propacker but I want to have all the packing techniques in my pocket. Whale oil beef hooked

If you're in Washington... My home DZ is Skydive Toledo. Very laid back. C182 on site 24/7 but lots of caravan weekends. bonfires, beer, bbq darn near every weekend. People here are awesome!!! Huge hanger and landing zone. I bring my kids all the time. usually other kids there. AFF, SL, Tandem... EFS!!! Whale oil beef hooked -
If you're wanting a good price. Ralph Hatley offers a smokin deal on static line progression. Also lowest jump prices to 10,5k in Oregon. "Skydive eagle creek" Whale oil beef hooked

I use the chuting star risers with the pop out front loops. For riser pulls they are awesome. However packing them before they are not broke in can be a bitch. Especially if you have secondary riser covers. Whale oil beef hooked

Well as it turns out.. I have fit a PD Pulse 230ft2 into the I-54. It previously had a 7cell spectre 190ft2. The pulse hybrid has a smaller pack volume, as Kelly stated earlier, and fits quite well. I can go from a 230ft2 main down to a 150ft2 now, all in the same container. I will probably not go that small but according to original specs this seems possible. Whale oil beef hooked

It currently has a precision aero 210 reserve. It can do 190-218 with certain reserve canopies. Whale oil beef hooked

Me 210lbs, 6'2". Considering buying a used 2001 VSE Infinity I-54 container. The harness is a fit. It's got an older 190 spectre in it now which is not on the recommended list. I have messaged with VSE and have their list of main sizes. Just curious about being able to fit a 210-220 main. Has anybody packed a larger main canopy into an infinity I-54 than what is recommended? Which chute? How well did it pack? Thoughts? Whale oil beef hooked
