  1. Carl passed away suddenly in his New Hampshire home in February. I know he left a decent impact on the people he met and made acquaintance with, I just want to make sure the Skydive Community is able to remember him here.

He jumped Skydive New England frequently and will be missed.
Too bad we couldn't fly together Uncle, Blue Skies.

  2. The jumper at the 4:20 mark really made big time errors turning down wind and flaring the entire time haha, he's lucky but was on course for a safish on heading landing in huge field and then boom! Down winder into gallons of trees

  3. I'd say 8 hours should be dedicated to body position, sitflying etc.
The other 2 hours should be used for canopy control. Its a little tough in a wind tunnel, but is fun. ;)

  4. ***Then there was the monkey that was being used on a test jump. The canopy opens, the monkey climbs up the lines and sits on top of the canopy collapsing it.

I dont think Ive ever laughed that hard on the forums before. :D:D

  5. I am fresh to this sport! but in all honesty, i have two older containers, one im turning into a back pack and the other id like to have chutes for so i can practice packing a little bit and just to have! I will have my own REAL rig within the year that i wont be settling for.

  6. Ive been looking for a canopy to use for packing training and the classifieds are only full of safe canopies haha. Im asking here cause most people have their old canopies in a closet or on their walls. Should i go to my DZ and ask around? Ebay doesn't have much. Thanks in advance!

  8. Is there anybody who knows a crazy Cessna pilot willing to drop a meat bomb over over my families property? I'm headed out there over summer from so-cal and probably wouldn't be able to go without jumping.

  9. Nowadays, i think in general base jumping and wing suiting have overcome skydiving. The most famous skydivers now also do base and wingsuits. Eric Ronner, Jeb Corliss and Travis Pastrana

  10. Sill in AFF, but will have license by next month! Ive always loved parachutes... Ever since i was a kid, parachute fireworks and model rockets were my jam. I taught myself how to paraglide with a cheap craigslist find. Then recently after getting my first really good job, Ive finally started my dream of skydiving! Im rocketing through the A license, and plan to have B within 2016. Flying is amazing when you leave an aircraft, but in my opinion (because i love parachutes so much) being under canopy is the most beautiful thing in the world.
