  1. When the canopy opens with snivvle- it's AMAZING. But what tends to happen is: Jump 1 - GREAT opening, jump 2 - off heading (fine), jump 3 - off and short snivvle Jump 4 - insta-canopy It's now to the point where I have to worry every jump "is this going to be the one that hurts" which I shouldn't have to worry about. It happens regardless of who packs - i use packers at competitions/practices and there will be 1 or 2 per day that just open (insta-canopy). I have about 325+ jumps total - jumped a pulse 230 then a sabre 2 210, never had issues. I use a semi-stowless bag, but I've been using it since the pulse. My plan is to send it into PD and see if they think it needs to be restitched or what. I really shouldn't have to worry if the packer (or me) did the 1 or 2 things that HAVE to be done to avoid insta-canopy, that takes the fun out of skydiving.

    Pulse

I got the canopy last year and put about 90 jumps on it. I can say its a perfect beginning canopy - easy to pack, opens well no matter how poorly packed, flare is super easy to time. Great canopy to learn to fly on.
  3. I'd like to get/save up for a good laptop or software that would allow me to circle things on video to highlight what's going on/what needs to be improved. Think NFL instant replay. Anyone have a setup like that? Any recommendations?
  4. I can't find one on PD's website - I'd love to see it and try to compare it to the Pulse. (I'll be demoing the Silhouette to be sure - i'm not going to only rely on what I read). Thanks in advance!
  5. Hey all - i've been trying to get my landing accuracies for my B license but I've been struggling. I fly a Pulse 230 loaded at about 1.1. Most of my issues are overshooting - I can put it in full brakes and I won't find the stall point- because it won't sink like I'd like it to. I know the pulse has a good glide to it (I LOVE being able to get out of most bad spots), but I do wish it would sink in more. I was hoping someone would be able to tell me if I just need to keep on going with the pulse or if I'd be happier with a Silhouette (same size/wing loading). Otherwise, if you have any tips for being more accurate with a pulse, I would be very grateful for your help!
  6. Does anyone have experience with in-helmet comm systems for RW work? On paper it seems great, but I'd love to confirm that and maybe get some reviews from people who have used it for RW specifically! I was looking at the Sena 10R or (less likely) 20S
  7. I'll start by saying I highly doubt one or the other is going to make or break a dive, but I was curious if there was an argument or consensus for one helmet being better than others for RW work?
