  1. a Spectre170. Ding ding ding! we have the right answer. Forgot to mention that cheapskate beats madskillz everytime That and its taken me about 900 jumps to wrestle it into the bag. dont want to start that whole mess again
  2. hah! Hope you weren't hard on him… Nah but I was supposed to pull in place and I kept slipping away from him as he lurked on my side. Kinda like a nervous twitch
  3. 7 yr layoff (work, life, health issues, as the prop turns etc). Refresher training yesterday and get introduced to my instructor. He looks at me odd then he says "you taught my FJC!" We worked well on the ground and then a nice low key 2 way. I guess he will be an evaluator if I decide to get my ratings back Foggy
  4. Had my c5,6,7 fused in 2001 after a hard opening partially paralyzed my right arm. Took a year off then got my AFF rating. Thought about tandem but the class 3 bs didn't work out. Get it checked out by a neurosurgeon. More on the line here than tandems. Foggy
  5. fortunately i make my own so I am quite current there
  6. nope, keeping the spectre170. Had a neck injury in 2001 and put 900 jumps on it without any probs.
  7. damage to heart was minimal as I had the good sense to wait until I got in front of the triage nurse in the ER before coding. It did take them 8mins and three attempts with the paddles to get me back online. At my three month follow-up, my cardiologist stated "zero restrictions" but then added no snow shoveling... ever
  8. Not sure if this is the correct forum but could not find the old farts with heart issues one 1900 or so jumps, last one 5 years ago so know I need to sit in a FJC and first jump "under supervision". Snag is I had a heart attack last July at 46yrs so wondering what that puts into the game? (Cypress on main and reserve to bring the corpse down in one piece). Did my cardiac rehab, lost 28lbs (now 168), my current lipid panel is excellent and working out hard 4-5 times a week. Any thoughts?, observations? Foggy
  9. "what do i need to go to england and jump?" A current passport will be helpful Foggy D21109
  10. I used to get GATW and the occasional VGATW despite having a serious spin problem during my student progression. Didnt mean a thing to me then and less so now. I found the SkydiveU debrief process the best way to get the information out and then have the student put it on the page (another handwriting issue). I wanted them to learn how to analyze the skydive for good stuff and the "areas of improvement" for that jump and future skydives. Foggy No longer a rating holder
  11. Nothing wrong with driving on the left. Most civilized countries do it But I do recall one early Sunday morning driving to a DZ in Belgium wondering what that asshole was doing on the wrong side of the road about 1000m away. I then carefully maneuvered to the right hand side and gave them my best British smile I now live in the US and the biggest issue is getting in the correct side of the vehicle after buying fuel Foggy D21109
  12. Degree from the University of Life Diploma from the school of hard knocks Certificate from the Kindergarten of getting the crap kicked out of me - Blackadder Foggy D21109
  13. was I the only one getting nervous when the piano started playing?? Foggy D21109
  14. What about the shot inside the back cover? (known as the photo-finish slot). Nice pic of the team over SDC turning points with the camera flyer in frame. Foggy D21109
