  1. Who is it that we need to speak to, to get on this? I am not going to let you guys do it without me again. Ever. If I can help it... tom #90 #54 #08 and now #5 with a Bronze :-)
  2. God, I love it when we get to talk bigway stuff Conway!!!!!!! Good Luck in Cali... tom As for the 124-way sequential record . . . it's still out there for the taking. We came so close. Nobody has done it . . . yet ............................... We held the 125-way TSR for 14+ seconds but hadn't planned the second pt. at the time. The next 2 were 125 way 2 pt and 130+ 2pt and neither came close to building the 1st again. tom #90 #54 #08 and now #5 with a Bronze :-)
  3. "whats the hardest thing about learning the Tandem? " What do you define as hard? If you want to do tandems and you have the right motivation then the only hard part is the thing that is the scariest to all of the people in the world (public speaking, and putting yourself in as the main character in the show, with the student as your the supporting cast.) Have you done a bic course? The role playing there is similar to practicing Tandems. It isn't hard if that is what you want to do... Was learning to drive hard??? "And what's the danger involved? [:/" Stability out the door is the hardest. Not only being able to do it, but DOING it time after time no matter how boring it is. If you are head up and can get the drouge out stable, well... Try it, you might like it! Hope my 2 cents worth helped. loudtom tom #90 #54 #08 and now #5 with a Bronze :-)
  4. Just read about the accident in Incidents. Very Saddddd. Condolences to the family and all of you participating. I love big ways and the people who do them and it leaves a hole in my formation when any of them leave us. loudtom tom #90 #54 #08 and now #5 with a Bronze :-)

  7. "Any comments about exit order? Again, I was on several (many) jumps where trail plane floaters were expected to dock before the first and second row divers (this with both Otter and Caravan), and ended up having to fly around them. Seemed bass-ackwards to me. AFAICT It seems to be the consequence of doing run-outs rather than exit frames during the dirt dive. On the Texas Record Rob had the floaters and early divers dock after the middle divers with the late divers coming after that. It kept alot of the traffic problems you just described out of the picture. The info we got included a breakdown and reasoning behind this. email me and I will arrange to get it for you. Our run-outs were planned this way and kept all traffic problems to a minimum. blues, tom #90 #54 #08 and now #5 with a Bronze :-)
  8. Hello John, Rob Laidlaw did a great job on the Texas record. He has been working on it for a couple years and tweaking it as they go. I am not sure if he started with a specific idea or not but he had it all pretty squared away. It was SLOW though, just ask Gary. Sorry Gary you know I love ya... Like the world team they said come prepared and be able to adjust to the fall rate whatever it was. As a late diver the engineering was great and all my plane had an easy time of it. Rob is a great guy and would help you any way he could. Thinking of doing some bigways. tom #90 #54 #08 and now #5 with a Bronze :-)
  9. 6:0:1 or 2 just because I had so much fun! Did some fun jumps and then did some really fun jumps. Did a tennis ball jump that had 10 throw and catches, thanks Paul, and Paul, and Ted. Did some fun belly stuff with Terry's group(I am fast coming to love yous guys.) And then Sparky and Shawn showed up and I got to practice my freefly skills. I use that term loosely. Then drank Ted's beer and was glad I wasn't doing Tandems till sundown like the other tm's. CSC rocks! Thanks TD and Doug and all the rest of you for all the fun... see ya next week, loudtom tom #90 #54 #08 and now #5 with a Bronze :-)

I do not see alot about Roger on dz.com but I loved and respected him and was in the sport in no small part because of him. My love and prayers go out to his daughter Missy and son Rook. And I want everyone to know that he was a tremendous man! God Take Roger and Keep him unto himself. Tom Startz tom #90 #54 #08 and now #5 with a Bronze :-)
