  1. EVERYONE is standing up against the DOJ. Are you kidding me? Like he's the only one? lol Thats a joke. Senators all over the country are going after Eric Holder. Arresting illegals, good stuff Im all for it. Racial profiling and harassment of hispanic US Citizens is not okay, not to mention violating their Constitutional Rights. His "tough" stance on prisoners is admirable. That is until you READ about what he's done to abuse PRE-TRIAL detainees (People who haven't gone to court and been proven guilty, therefore innocent). Innocent people forced to live in tent city and fed rotten and spoiled food. How about HIS targeting of officials to further pursue his political agenda. Judges, Jury and lawyers included. Add this with the investigation into him concerning tens of millions of dollars misused and unaccounted for. Wow, so much more than the good things you've heard about "Tough Joe."I love your signature line with Abraham Lincoln. Funny how in a way Sheriff Joe Arpaio is taking away freedoms and rights from within. But then again, Hes arresting illegals and standing up to the DOJ right? Go figure...
  2. I use PD gear bag (found on their website). I've seen the rig sleeve, but personally I don't want anything exposed. Sun or spilled beer...
  3. Yes quality drives competition. I had that backwards but I think that works both ways. Thanks for bringing that up though. Just because someone TELLS you that you should automatically tip 15% do you necessarily have to? Is anyone forcing you? If someone was truly trying to make a living do you think they would provide horrible service? And do you agree BIGUN that since quality drives competition that tipping is a good thing? Just curious on your stance.
  4. 1. We are not a democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic governed by a set of rules and principles set forth in the US Constitution, NOT by a bible. 2. It is necessary for a separation between religion and government. We are allowed to believe whatever we want or nothing at all. People with different religions have different standards. Driving America on that notion would cause a rift and create different standards. 3. Whose laws? Religious ones or the ones set forth in the Constitution? Exactly. 4. Why the hell is a business professor explaining this instead of a professor within the religion or law department? 5. This is blatant propaganda!
  5. There are not cutaway procedures for malfunctions, you just deploy your reserve (both canopies rounds). To activate the release you pull the cover down and depress two levers to release the locking lug. It is so you don't get drug by high winds after landing. It is over engineered, but then again, it is a military system...
  6. I don't believe at all tipping should be banned. It's effective in many cases. You are essentially paying for customer service wether its good (fair tip) or bad (no or small tip). Would you want to stand in line waiting to pick up your food at a restaurant? If you're going out to eat, its for the experience or else you would order ahead for take-out or just eat at home. If every server, waitress and bartender were paid the same amount why would one strive to provide excellent customer service? They would just do an average job. Are all doctors paid the same? No, some are much more costly because they provide a better or more experienced service. My wife is a waitress/bartender and she has said many people would rather be on tips because she would be getting paid the same as a shitbag who works at the same place if they were on minimum wage. IT IS COMPETITION THAT DRIVES QUALITY! If everyone is on minimum wage and presumably working 40+ hours a week now you have to deal with possible health benefits and employers working things out or not. A lot of things can get jumbled up in this discussion.
  7. That is hilarious! Just shows you how ridiculous the left is...
  8. If anyone on here is a fan of Sheriff Joe Arpaio, remember that he has repeatedly violated peoples civil and Constitutional rights. He is an absolute dirtbag...
  9. The red handle is a soft handle on the belly mounted reserve. It has a pin on top and bottom with tuck tabs on the sides with the top and bottom tabs stow in those pockets.
  10. I am a Marine as well as a static-line Jumpmaster and Military Free Fall Jumpmaster. The MC-7 is only being jumped by the Marines because the Army wanted the cape well system instead of a 3-ring. The Armys version is the MC-6, the exact same system except it has a cape well release. (The Army also uses over-the-shoulder ripcord for free fall instead of BOC like the Marine Corps) The Marine Corps free fall program and equipment is much better because we are a much smaller entity. The 3-ring on the MC-7 has a white soft loop girth hitched onto a locking lug. It passes through the (bottom) small ring and the lug secures into its receiver. The T-10 way outdated and not very comfortable at all. Any other questions let me know.
  11. First, everyone calm down. Remember we are talking about a man who was murdered. He also served his country honorably and is the most successful and accomplished sniper in US history. Don't believe these propaganda filled articles and take everything with a grain of salt. Let me ask you, what have YOU done for your country? Exactly...
  12. Very interesting. Looks awesome but can't image the glitches and issues it will have to begin with...
  13. That is actually a awesome tip for checking a GoPro light! Deff will use.
  14. Not anywhere I've seen. Also fuel being cheap right now is unreliable since fuel prices can be volatile. I'd rather prices being consistent or else they'd get jacked up in the summers when gas prices normally rise.
  15. As far as company wise, in my own opinion, PD is second to none. I have never had a problem with them as far as customer support or any inquiries. PD is very involved with the sport posting outstanding articles on their website and helpful videos on youtube. I had some questions for Icarus at one point and it was very difficult to get a hold of them. I do however, enjoy the fact that Icarus does provide a nice military discount which PD does not. Other than my experience, I don't believe one company is better than the other and thoroughly believe they are top of the line companies. Comes down to personal preference. I have not jump either of those canopies but I have packed a Pulse and they do pack nice and small (for a bigger canopy in a smaller container). Try checking out a PD Storm. The wing loading is beneficial to bigger guys. I own 2 of them. Again personal preference. I know this reply is scattered brained and maybe off topic. Just trying to help.
  16. The Cessna 182 is decent but all they have. Not a bad DZ, just more of a mom and pop kind of place. Most of the business is tandems and you will always wait or get booted for walk-in tandems. Large grassy landing area but small (though indoor) packing area. Jumped here a few times and had my wife do a tandem with Laura, who was awesome, caring and professional. Nice view of the ocean. If you live close by, great DZ. If not, make the drive to Raeford or Myrtle Beach to jump.
  17. I've read reviews about all the on heading openings this canopy has and it's very true. Canopy does open soft and on heading every time (so far). It flys well and is a little sporty. It's almost like a suped up Spectre but not quite a Sabre2. In my own opinion, it has a weird attack angle and takes few jumps to perfect the timing on the flare. With the flare, there is soo much power in the last 6 inches. You really have to dig deep on your flare on days with no wind. Maybe it's just me. Overall, good canopy for anyone who wants something a step up from a Spectre. I only hear good things about this canopy from the wingsuiters as well.
  18. Very professional DZ and ran in the same manner. Checking in, they verified my logbook, pack card, license, ID and signed forms and stated on video that I understood. (There have been DZ's that have not even asked to see a license or logbook for currency) They covered all their bases which was awesome. The entire area is very clean (bathrooms were outstanding) and has a great atmosphere to it. Nice shaded pack area, though a little small, and huge grass landing areas. The locals were awesome with every skill level and conducted good dirt dives and exit orders. This was my first time there and I did 4 jumps. I live 4 hours away and was so impressed I bought 3 mini-blocks. Highly recommended and will deff return.
  19. My first brand new rig, second I've owned. I also jump Javelins at work. This is by far the most comfortable rig I've tried on. Really lives up to its "Curv" name. Nice innovative extras such as the "bio-yoke" and the flap in the BOC to keep your pilot chute in. Somehow the leg pads stay in place without the use of a bungy. Handles have a nice grip on them. Closing flaps have external rings instead of grommets within the cordura. The rig is sleek, small, and clean all the way around. Highly recommended. Also, absolutely no way customer service could be any better.
  20. Have you seen any VC3's with a Nano 160 and Storm 170? I'm sure the storm 170 in the VC3 is the same as your storm 150 in a VC2. I'm hoping Nano 160, even though its a low bulk reserve won't take up too much space to make the main look fat or pregnant. Just bought a VC3 with Nano 160 and have a Storm 170 on the way. After reading some threads, worried it might either be super tight or look fat...Quote
