I'm surprised you didnt retaliate with the 'screaming like a girl in freefall during a mal and everyone on the ground could hear' incident.

HAHA. I forgot about that. Everybody could hear him from the ground. However, a mal is probably a good reason to scream.....who knows (I've never had one knock on wood). Oh well, you know we like ya Butters, we're just messin wit ya;). Oh, and we can't wait till you hit 100 jumps so we can pie you!

i kinda go by the 10 second rule anyway...

You are very generous, I give only 5 secs :P

no,no..... this cat takes the food if left for about 2 secs! Archie has a nose like no other cat. I have seen him smell food from across the DZ!:D I have seen him eat and entire 6" sub too:o.

That is why that pic was so believable for everyone who didn't know the real story;).

Nice way to put it Bongo Jr. B|
Too bad someone didn't have a camera on your "normal corn field landing"

uh oh, this is gonna turn into one of those things...

  4. That was an awesome jump! We barely squeezed it in as you can see by the amount of light in the pics:D. We launched a bobsled exit (182 remember:S)....all I can say is it worked for about 2 seconds. I loved the safety goggles and hockey helmets, the goggles barely stayed on and definately did not keep the wind out:D.

Oh ya, then theres Fence-Boy. Or even more exactly, Downwind-Into-The-Fence-Boy-Who-Now-Has-Pretty-Good-Wiplash:D:P. I'm just playin wit ya Chris.;).

    Ahhh what a day!

  5. Ok, Its time I got a freefly suit. I am looking at buying a freak-n-suit and I grabbed this pic off of their website. I coloured (yes the Canadian spellingB|) it in the way I wanted using paint.

Any opinions are welcome...even if you say it looks like crap;). Keep in mind that this is a picture of a girl but I am actually a guy if that makes any difference.

  6. Of my 94 jumps, the first 70 were from a 182. I was at dropzones other than my home DZ for the last 2 weekends. It will be nice to be back in the 182 again this weekend and not have to worry about busy airspace and landing space.

This is sad people, I know you have pictures;). I had a blast at the Boogie, just look at the Anvils pics!B| We want to see some of yours:)
Some of you may remember our little Canadian group if you were there. We were the ones with the Grand Bend sign on our dining tent/packing areaB|.

I fall at 160 belly flying there may be an issue with people keeping up anyway!!!!. Level 5 - 7 AFF instructor (with 20 lbs) was just sitting infront of me smiling, too cool.

Dude:o. If you don't mind me asking, how much do you weigh and how tall are you?? In other words, whats your BMI?

  9. Well, I live in London, Ontario and the power went out here at about 4:15pm and was fixed by 9:30 in some parts of the city. If the power hadn't have come back on today, I could have taken the day off work and started the weekend early. oh well.

My dad was at Long Point On. when this happened and his power never went out. That is strange since all the major cities surrounding Long Point on every side were without power (Widsor/Detroit, London, Toronto, Cleveland, NY):S.

I didn't mean to imply that I wanted to stop thinking about jumping. It's just that my family, friends and co-workers are getting tired of hearing about it, and I've resorted to calling up long-lost acquaintances and stopping total strangers on the street! :P

Yup, thats the way it is with us. My friends are the same way...they think I have no life (ROFLMAO! they don't know what they are missing)!!!B| You've- just gotta hang out with the people at your DZ or the people here at DZ.com. They will listen to you.

Well why do some dropzones favour doing tandem progression?

I think it is because of the greater profit and ease of instruction when compared to aff.

You don't need to know much to do a tandem, so you can get more students through the course in one weekend. You need half the number of certified instructors to take the student up, also allowing more students in a weekend.

How much can you really learn from a tandem? The only advantage seems to be canopy control. I did aff (pff here) and the radio for the landings worked fine, I didn't feel the need to be strapped to another person up there.

I've put 1 jump on a Sabre2 when it came out, at a boogie, got it from the PD booth, packed by a PD rep. Slammed the hell outta me. I was just trying it so I could tell customers what it was like. Guess it was a packing problem LOL:$

I have also put one jump on a Sabre 2 150. Needless to say, I packed it the same way I pack my Silhouette and it opened on heading and softer that my Sil opensB|. My Sil has ~75 jumps on it, the Sabre 2 was brand spanking new.
