If it was a hiker who slipped and fell ..they woudnt be bitching about it would they. And for the cost of the rescue and risk....What do you think these search and rescue people get paid..."by us" do all day.??? They sit around waiting to save some sorry ass like ourselves to screw up because they are trained to do this....They want to do this... Do you mean tracking skills or freefall skills? i only ask as they are to me two different animals.. i remember a time when i was around 100 or so jumps on a large sit fly jump... 12 or so of us...Yea...a while ago...that at break off i remember tracking and actually looking back between my legs and watching a few jumpers just like they where laying flat and not getting horizontal distance as i felt speed as everyone just got tiny quick.... After the jump a far more experienced guy from the jump asked me how i learned to track like that. I never thought my freefal skills exceeded my jump #'s but maybe my tracking skills where better than my freefall skills?? I am currious...I totally agree that you need a huge bucket of skills for a Terminal jump such as Kjreg...but if you had to choose which was more important ...tracking skills or freefall skills...which would you put weight on? I guess i mean if you can already stick the exit..which are more important.... This is my lame ass question of the week so go ahead and flame me.... Just currious..... ug...my fingers are hurting...It's not unpleasantness...It's doing things by the numbers. There are over 5000 or so base jumpers in the world give or take a few.... There are only less than a hundred who post on these forums here.... Just consider this a pub in a world of pubs.... That leaves 4900 or so other base jumpers at different pubs around the world.... Some people like this ...well in the states we call them "bars"... bar .. and some people dont. You stay , drink, chat or fight if you wish or just drink and soak up whats happing with this crowd. It's all different... No matter where you go...there you are.... Well if you want to assume that ..the take a stab at Skin, he will tell you like is.... im parched....... I think the point is 3 or 4 people on this board with alot of experience have told you where to look for your answers and you still continue to ask the same questions... I have seen dougg's footage and think he is truly amazing.....well...F&^%$$ing amazing.... but you have to admit that by far the "best" air relative footage is by far "Superterminal"..... Nothing is as" jaw dropping" as this footage..... I would have to agree 100 percent with this advise... i dove for years and knowing water is under you and not the ground creates a super invinceable frame of mind. If you have no experience in in diving then a 3 secound delay plus a flip you are not comfortable with is pushing it. Add the rig and all the other things that you are doing is not a great plan. If you can stand on the ground and throw a front flip..land it... than go ahead...other wise go to a pool or foam pit and work it out there.. If you watch continuium I and watch Damian and Kenyon ...they throw flips back and front standing on the ground...When they do them off a object they look completly at ease....Thats how you should feel throwing them on a short delay... I got my copy yesterday and i will have to say it took me a day to post... as i am speechless....This movie is unbeleavible.....Its not base jumping....it's mountain flying.... Canyon running..... It's like the dreams i had as a kid and still do of flying...it's unbelievable.... I have not seen something so moving and amazing ....ever....... Un Fucking believable....sorry for the french ...but no other way to explain.......i have watched this 30 or so times ....i loss count and my wife thinks i need a vacation.... Great job guys and look forward to seeing more ....You guys are truly amazing and living life like no other.......I really need to come see this in person....... I am sending more than the $30.00 donation as i think i got more than i ever expected..... I have some footage from Joe jennings that did a piece on it and i have a short take that was on discovery channel also about 3 guys who sleadded it and climbed up. It's easyier than most people think...I dived as a kid and threw highschool...if you dont know how to recover ...you can seriously get hurt. I also wakeboard and people get knocked out and drown....i have seen stars and been sore from falls that you would not suspect would be so bad. There is a way to recover a bad high dive by going into a pike position...with your feet and hands entering the water first and you break the water to lessen the force. But make sure your head is tucked down between your arms or you will have a permanent smile for a week or so.... In the end...the universe has a way of working itself out....
