  1. Best thing about these playoffs? The Flyers are already out of them! I can't see anybody but the Hawks or Penguins hoisting the Cup.....but who knows what shit might happen? -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  2. I'm on the Kings bandwagon now that Robyn Regehr is part of the team. Have known Robyn for 12 years and he is a great guy. Go Kings! -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  3. You've gotta be loving this! Good luck Iggy! -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  4. Any guesses where Iginla may get traded? Word is he is being shopped. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  5. Add JFK to the list....PT109. But I don't think anybody compares to Jackson. Killing people in duels, war experiences, etc, etc. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey

I've been using a CPAP machine for about 3 years now. I definitely notice the difference. It is a serious condition, best of luck!! -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  7. And the Kings may hold the Cup for 2 seasons! Unfortunately, that wouldn't surprise me. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  8. I also would recommend doing the pool and classroom work and exam (I did PADI course) at home before leaving and then all you have left is 4 open water dives. My son and I did this in February in the middle of winter in Saskatchewan and then flew to Maui. We had arranged for our open water dives to be completed in Maui before leaving and two days after arriving had done two great shore dives and two awesome boat dives! Then, we were free to rent gear for shore dives or go on more boat dives...which we did! This! I spent a week in the FL Keys, and because I was getting certified, I spent a huge amount of the time in a damned pool, instead of the ocean. I went snorkeling in the ocean after the class every day, but I only got certified on the last day, then of course the wind & waves came up so we couldn't go out to the reefs. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  9. Congrats again guys! See you next year! -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  10. He woke up in a big way! I'm really sad to see this ending in a blowout especially with the missed call and then the major and misconduct. I was hoping for another nailbiter. Congrats to you and the other Kings fans .... You've been waiting a long time! -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  11. No kidding. That's the most basic right of everyone on the planet. You'll notice that it happened in Canada. American pc douchebags would be fighting for the rights of the criminal. As for the cops telling people not to get involved with their own safety I whole-heartedly disagree to a certain point. If you feel you are capable, take the fucker down. You may be right, you may be wrong. But, at least you'll be the one making the decision. Can you imagine if everyone listened to police? Crime would rise if they knew no-one would resist. THAT'S what they expect already. THAT's why the try to rob the place. JT - Canada is a bad place to defend yourself especially with a weapon. I think our in Canada laws are tilted way too far in favour of the criminals. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  12. Just remembered Brown made a great move to cut around the defence from left to right in front of Brodeur and Marty pokechecked the puck away and took away a stellar scoring chance. Without Brodeur's great play, he may have poked one home and made some "noise". -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  13. Didn't Williams have one of the post shots yesterday? Brown seems to have gone quiet? Any chance he is hurt? -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  14. 1942 or so Chuck....even before my time ;-) i just read that the last team that took it to 7 games after being down 3-0 was the Wings in 1945 who lost Game 7. Devils are 4-8 in Games 1-3 and 10-1 in games 4-7 .... they have been getting better as each Series has gone on. In regulation, except for Game 3, Brodeur has given up 1 goal per game. He is a contender for the Conn Smythe and if the Devils pull off a win should win it imo. I thought the Devils were done after Game Three but now I can see them winning. They seem to have the momentum and the bounces are going their way. Game 6 is going to be awesome! -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  15. And 4 posts by the Kings. Sometimes things go your way and sometimes not. Every game in this series, except Game 3, could have gone either way. Are the Kings going to choke? -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  16. And now things are getting interesting! Devils win 2-1 and make it a series. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  17. Howdy Doody is one I don't think I've seen mentioned. I still remember not having a tv, just a big radio. Got tv in 57 or so. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  18. Conn Smythe pick - Jonathon Quick. I think Brown has fallen out of contention in the Finals....he's contributed but just not as impressively as in previous series. Quick has been outstanding throughout. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  19. I really hope that the league and players don't squander the positive pr coming from a Kings win. I don't know about all the contracts for the Kings but they sure have offence, defense and goaltending covered. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  20. Whether the Kings win tomorrow or it takes them another game or two the only question I have now is this: Can they repeat? -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  21. 3-0 nice pp goal. I think Game 4 is just a formality. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  22. Goal Kopitar....pretty passing play that should have been blown dead for a hand pass. Snakebit. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  23. Devils are snakebit. They get a pp and then a 5 on 3 with the high sticking penalty and promptly take a penalty themselves. Big opportunity blown. They are passing too much and seem tentative. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  24. I didn't see the game but did hear that the Devils played very well and your. Omments just confirmed that. I thought the Kings were better in OT...Brodeur kept the Devils alive as long as he could. Three stars for both games: 1 - OT Goal scorer 2 - Quick 3 - Brodeur Hey, when teams start getting the lucky breaks....it just could be their year! I've been real impressed with Brodeur...at 40 he is playing unbelievable but I have the feeling he is not going to get another Cup for his efforts. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
  25. I just came home from the lake turned the tv to see Kovalchuk put one off the crossbar with a few seconds left. OT again. -- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
