PD canopies can not be advertised below retail price. There is a tiny discount that is the minimum retail policy agrrment, it is next to nothing thogugh. IN all, Dealers are not allowed to sell PD canopies below retail, even by beating another quote so to speak. Icarus has a set price point as well. I am sure aerodyne will soon with their new CEO. Your wings looks perfect! It looks very new. it needs to be broken in. However, it does sound like you need to put it on and send a photo to them. feel free to send it to me and I can see what they think if you like. You never know it might be as simple as the legpads, it sure sounds it. If you do the legpads up and it feels like it is pulling down on your shoulders, it is more than likley the legpads are wrong size. This is a problem I think I have experienced with my personal rig and a customers rigs. Sounds the same. Each time it has been a wings container and has been easily fixed. Not putting down wings, this situation was when i first discovered how good wings customer service was. , does it feel like it is pulling DOWN on the shoulders tight. If that is the case it is your legpads are too small and you need them replaced with the next size up. If you contact the manufacturer they will usually send them out to you straight away and you can have a rigger change them over. The problem will be solved. The first thing you should do is put the clothes on you jump with and have some take a photo of you front onwards, side on, and the back. Send the photos into the manufacturer of the container and explain to them what you are feeling. it is likely they wil spot any sizing problem in a flash. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

This person has a rig using wales flag colours, loads of bright green, a 260 student canopy and a smart 250 reserve with the container being a oversized Icon I8 that dealers can not even order through software. So with this order it is not as simple as having the gear still to sell. So you ask for a deposit big enough to cover your potential loss if the buyer defaults. The wierder the order, the bigger the deposit. Yes, as I said, I fully agree and this is how any gear store should do things. However, this issue is that I gave someone a helping hand and ordered without that deposit thinking i could trust them, just as I would do for someone like you if you needed it. I trusted the wrong person. Thats where i messed up but saying that, this person should have realised they were on to such a good thing that they should not have left me in this position. Its all good bro, it does not interfere, you put the tucktab in and it sits their firm. if you put a pilot 160 in it, you would not notice it. I get asked this question from every single customer....... At first I had the manufacturers suggest what they think is best for their system. For you I would say 23. You should be comfortable with your relationship with the dealer to ask these sort of questions. Make sure you let your dealer know if you are having trouble with any parts of your order form as we submit these on a daily basis. Your container is probably made to fit a mazx of a Aerodyne pilot 160 or PD170 in it, so it has room to move. Seeing you bought a pilot, you had to have a size larger than you would have had with a PD canopy The reaosn here is that PD ZP packs smaller than aerodyne. So if you purchased a container made for a 150 PD canopy, it would not fit a 150 pilot in it, meaning you had to get a container a size larger. So it is just packed nice and tight nothing to be concerned over. There is nothing to be concerned about with your rig. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

BTW- So far, everything everyone in this thread, I would have to say you have all hit the nail on the head. You are all correct in everything said. Its just this situation was not a normal gear sale. It was a newbie jumper who posted 20 times a day on a website, came to me asking for some help on finding a rig suitable for him with only one leg and a heavy guy who needed something different. YEs mate, I have every single bit of correspondence between me and the customer, all on a workbook with date and time codes etc. It is all regarded as a contract to me. He is not going to have to pay for this, I am also not interested in selling to him anymore, even if he came with the cash today, no way. I was selling him a complete rig for $5000 all custom made. Like fuck is he going to get that deal anywhere else. He has paid 10%, that will be going towards my dogs operation. He can go and buy the rig from someone else and pay alot mroe than what he was getting it from me for. I thought I was hooking the guy up big time. Well, yes it is that simple. The problem is that you are going to have to discount it heavily to sell it because of the unusual size and colors. The only real use is as student gear (BIG student gear). I'd think there are DZs that would purchase it if it was well below retail cost. A much higher deposit (50-75% perhaps?) would be perfectly reasonable in this situation, IMO. Explain to the customer that you aren't willing to accept that kind of exposure if he backs out. Maybe part of it on order, the remainder before start of construction. That would prevent "I'm not putting that much down with that long of a wait". Note: I'm not a dealer, nor do I know much about ordering custom gear. I'm just stating what I see as reasonable behavior on the part of the dealer. And I don't see a whole lot you can do now, these are just suggestions for the future. Please bear in mind this case was not a random customer. It was someone I fooled myself into thinking I trusted. I know I fucked up with this order but I fucked up cause i was wrong to trust someone. Anyway, I have things sorted, i have had alot of help from the mnaufacturer who watched my back and am not left in a position that is a problem for me. No thanks to the prick who left me in the shit like that. I give my customers my all, I may not come across very professional, but i dont give a shit. MY customers love the experience and understand that I am just another jumper first and foremost. My customers get excellent service and they all get trusted once as they are trusting me with their huge payments towards their dream rigs. This is the first time one of them has fucked me over in three years. The res tof my customers have been fantastic, most always pay upfront upon ordering but i like to help out where i can and give those that need a bit of time, i give them a bit of time, those that need a deal, i try to give them a deal, i guess that is the risk i take, but for the satisfaction of my customers and the reviews they write in my guest book..... it is all worth it to me.
