I need Some good Questions to ask!!
flyangel2 replied to Da_SKiES_R_BLu's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I'm sorry that I didn't make it out to Boulder. I had told you that if I didn't have any thing come up at the clinic, I'd be there. Well, nothing came up, except for the dog bite I got on Saturday while at work. Figured I'd stay home and rest. Again, sorry I wasn't able to be there. For those that keep thinking this gal is a troll, you're wrong. All it took was a phone call out to the DZ. I talked to the DZO, whom I know well, and he confirmed. (the DZ offers s/l and do quiet a number of them) As for all the "picking" on this young gal. Wow! Think back to when you all were teenagers. Heck for those of you that have kids, think about how they act as teenagers Remember, they are in their own little world, and they are never wrong. (thank god they grew out of it, or else I would have killed them) To Da_SKiES_R_BLu : Remember, you're posting on a forum made up mostly of adults, thou they don't always seem to act that way. Remember to respect your elders and never talk to us in text or like you would your friends. Duh! I promise you, you'll learn a ton from this group of misfits and honey goes farther then vinger Let me know when your next jump is, and if the weather is warm, I'll try to make it out. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey -
So am I to understand we don't have one person who jumps at Colorado skydiving center that posts on here?? Gee people............stop picking on the newbies. All it took was a phone call to the DZ. In fact, I'm going to try and head out to Boulder on Sunday and show her a little support. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. I just got off the phone with Randy, and he said that your class is tonight and you jump on Sunday about noon. If nothing comes up at the clinic I work at, I'll try to make it out. We've got some of the greatest backpacking around. Just ask Skybytch and Renee. They both have flown out here to hit the trail with me. I think there are some threads on the different trips around here somewhere. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2405853;search_string=backpacking%20in%20colorado;#2405853 I can't fine Renee's thread, but just ask them. Welcome, any friend of Willem's is a friend of mine. Doesn't matter if you only have one skydive or 3,000. Last time I looked, there wasn't a number limit of skydives for being a member here. Psst...........I lurk over at rockclimbing.com even though I'm not a kick ass climber May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. Profile addition for those who've passed away
flyangel2 replied to cpoxon's topic in Suggestions and Feedback
You do know it's very simple and easy to register for this site and many others. I'm sure there are a number of people that have registered to just read and don't even skydive. Oh, and shock of all shock, I'm sure there are some that are "weirdos" and "trolls". Bottom line, you can't keep this site private. Humm......This thread reminded me of another thread a few years back. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_flat;post=2358317;page=1;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;mh=25; It seems when the S&TA was doing his job in this situation, there were a number of posters that tried to hand him his ass. Sure hope all the support in this thread means the tide is changing. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. Skydiving and non jumping friends
flyangel2 replied to jclalor's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I actually know quite a few skydivers who also golf here in FL. In my opinion, a person is more interesting if they have more in their life than just one sport or hobby. Well said. Golf clap..............golf clap............golf clap May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. I could so take this the wrong way. Even more so since I know you and Julie. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey

I don't mean to answer for Ladydyver, but if she's thinking along the same lines as myself, a mother of two, the reason my boys had to wait is because I KNEW the risk. Your friend needs to ask manifest why he didn't get to jump. We on the Internet have no idea what was really going on in the office/DZ. IMO, it's bad customer service to not get anyone up without explaining to them what is going on. Edit to add: If manifest doesn't give your friend an answer, I'd ask to speak to the owner/manager. I couldn't agree more - sorry if I came across as "overconfident guy". When I said the thing about training and skills, I was referring to working through the butterflies. I have a loooooong way to go, and obviously, I should think before I post. It's all good. You didn't come across as over confindent. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey

Over 3,000 skydives and I still get butterflies. I don't think it has anything to do with training or skill level. Keep those butterflies, it's what keeps you alive! Over cofindence kills!
