  1. review malfunctions/emergency procedures, jump with a coach, maybe AFF instructor
  2. to me this doesn't help you because as a TI you would operate for compensation.??
  3. you might buy a cheaper helmet like a Z1 then realize there is a reason everyone is using g3's or the new KISS helmet and then you will buy one, which ends up being more expensive then if you would have just bought a good one from the beginning.
  4. please post any info on overnights if they are having them
  5. well he claims he keeps his planes at an airpark in Kissimmee fl and that he flew his p38 to the florida airshow this past weekend in punta gorda so maybe his planes are not listed or he is full of shit
  6. that is interesting, is it possible for his plane to not be registered on that list?
  7. this was my thought, not sure that ill get that opportunity again
  8. I am a physical therapists assistant, he moves and has good mobility just rather slowly. I guess my question is more related to how much "physically" goes into flying.
  9. I have a patient who owns an a26 invader and a p38. he has asked if I would like to ride in the a26 with him. my concern is he walks with a walker and moves very slowly. I know very little about flying outside of skydiving. would you feel safe riding with him? says he has been flying since he was 14 and flew in the navy
  10. at home pack and unpack over and over until you figure it out. you will get tired and frustrated but eventually it will happen
  11. it can be done the way you are doing it, but imagine how good of a wrestler you would be if you only did it twice a month. when I first got into the sport I quit for about 5 months to save every dollar I could, then I was able to knock out all my training and get gear. something to consider, but your hooked now you will figure it out
  12. ***so I'm jumping once a month, usually two jumps. *** some will disagree, but in my opinion this is too little, especially in the beginning. doing 2-3 jumps in one day as a student a few weekends in a row will help you dial things in better. back to back days would help even more
  13. try to log as much as you can, make little notes that stood out about the jump. it wont seem like much now but you will be glad you did later on when you decide to open your log book to a random page and it reminds you of a jump you would have otherwise forgotten.
  14. what your describing sounds like arthritis. activity/heat or anything to increase circulation will help relieve pain, if it is indeed arthritis. that being said an xray would not show any torn/sprained tendons and/or ligaments. strengthening and improving flexibility in the area will help long term. how old are you
  15. also consider getting a rig that fits. your neck strap in your profile pic looks a little loose
  16. Why is the "dad/husband" your customer and not the passenger herself? I find it interesting that you mention the guy's discomfort but don't mention the woman's discomfort. After all, she is the one doing the lap sitting in your scenario. Why do you assume that it has to be a "dad/husband" why cant it be a mom/wife
  17. anyone using 2 gopros to do 4 way team video? I already have 4 silver, and can find a second go pro pretty cheap if I decide to start doing video.
  18. I read the review and to play devils advocate, if she was so freaked out why did she go to give the guy a kiss on the cheek after everything that happened. and then playfully say "you tricked me". then report it anonymously on a site that most people know nothing about, instead of on the DZ's facebook page. maybe I am wrong but I feel her story may be a exaggerated
  19. i would bet the majority of experienced, skilled packers have never even seen the manual.
  20. out of curiosity, what is generally recommended for a big way suit?
  21. Since November 2015, there have only been 2 rigs for sale (on FB) that fit my body type. I bought both, one needed alterations the second one might get some alterations.... This circumstance is one driver for my original question. wait, you already have 2 rigs, and are shopping for a third. dude your doing it wrong
  22. I was in similar situation and bev suit was very helpful, send an email with what you just said and she will help you plus the suit are made very well
  23. jeans underneath jumpsuit helped me with padding. but yea student rigs suck
  24. Please explain this point. I would like to know why you think this before I strongly disagree with you. because freeflying doesn't help if he decides to do 4 way and 4 way doesn't help of he decides to do free fly
  25. what would the cost of the refresher course/jump be? are you expecting a place to just let you go jump with no license and 2 years off?
