  1. I wish they would work. They're just way too big. You feel like a bobble head, especially in the air. After opening, the helmet is so large, the risers are in the way. I wore a moto helmet for photo once. I was ready for the challenge, but even then, it was a lot more work than expected. After many years of not jumping a full face, I finally broke down and bought a Cookie G2 and still have it 1000 jumps later. As expensive as it is... it ends up being worth it. It Works great in the sky and the tunnel. I'm still not thrilled about the price but considering how long I've used it, it's paid for itself. When it gets too dirty for even helmet foam to work, I wash it in the kitchen sink then let it dry. You can pat dry as much as possible and then just point a fan at the inside. If you have a G3, the pads come out. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  2. To answer that question: There would be accelerated line wear. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  3. I'm assuming you're not serious :) ... The bridle under the canopy is a shadow. The Right line group was hooked up with a twist. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  4. That was pretty good. Thanks for doing that. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  5. No way. 90% of riggers are not that unobservant. For that matter, 10% of riggers are not that unobservant. It's a bit hard to comprehend actually hooking a main onto that riser but clearly it happened. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  6. Would you mind defining what the adverse conditions you've encountered are? My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  7. I go with what they know unless it's tilting the body to the side. I fix that immediately. f they don't know anything yet, then I teach them how I feel is appropriate. They all figure out their own method after AFF anyway so teach them as well as you can. I now like the salute method after reading about it I definitely like the one arm method after performing it. Twisting the body has never seemed appropriate but it does work. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  8. I'm glad for your students. But will you be able to get the other instructors on board with this? It can be confusing to students when they are taught different ways at the same school. Absolutely. They're very open minded because the place is new, and small still. Besides, Mike Wadkins is doing a course there soon so I'll bet there will be zero resistance! 9. This is going to be our new method (little do the folks at the dz know). This is what I do in the tunnel for turns, or side sliding. It's how I teach in the sky now. It is very easy and it works well. The instructor can exaggerate this method as they demonstrate it. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  10. I'm so glad those are out of style. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  11. I'll bet you One Million Dollar$ he has not gone in. If you can't afford that, I'll settle for $17.50 If I also had a chromed face shield and the opportunity to jump with Ryan, I could shoot a video of me shooting a video of him. It would be great. 12. You're being an asshole. Katanas suck. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  13. Yeah... FUck you Bealio. You're banned from Freeflying! I capitalized the U in fuck so it really appears sincere. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  14. Reach around the front of the risers before clearing the brakes so flaring is possible. Steering is opposite and minimal depending on the canopy. I've had dislocations in the past so I have practiced this scenario in the air but have not put it to practical use. I Personally feel that everyone should see what it's like to steer and flare one handed. Good luck with your rehab. Take your time. 15. You show me the skills, they'll count. I base my decisions on signing off the card by your performance. It doesn't have to be stellar, it just needs to be safe. One thing you already know better than any of us is a PLF. You can crash safer than just about anyone. I like teaching people with a military back ground. I can train in a very direct manner and you'll pay attention. If you're given a task, you'll do it. It makes my job so much easier and you learn quickly. So yes, they count, but 25 jumps is a minimum, not a standard. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

  18. Naked 2 way Sure. You have to jump my canopy though. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  19. I take people on their first 2 ways all the time.Let's just call it AFF. They pay me to swoop at the end of the flight. It's pretty great. I suppose that the freefly skillz I picked up over the years helps too. When students suddenly move about so cleverly, I can still make them look good with my GoPro camera. Therefore it's entirely possible to make you look good on youtube or vimeo or facebook. I'd say liveleak too, but that would indicate something went very very badly. Next time we're at the Same DZ, i'll go do whatever type of dive you want to.... except wingsuiting because I don't have one. All comments in this post are true. Ps. I don't care about the Mazda anymore. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  20. Don't lean. Stay square and as the harness becomes loaded, put your legs together to keep the harness even. If your canopy consistently opens a certain direction, chances are the tightness of the leg straps is uneven. Your body shape may require that you tighten one leg strap more than the other. Sometimes a canopy will turn hard a direction as it opens. Don't fight it. Keep your knees together securely and just go with the canopy. "Helping" it to open straight causes more harm than good. Many Kananas have terrible opening characteristics. Get used to it or replace it. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  21. Nice. How much distance? My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  22. Fine with me. It will keep us busier for a season or two. Edit: I think it was 2:02 minutes and 4:02 minutes if I recall correctly. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  23. Actually I'll just have to freefly with you because my rig isn't wingsuit friendly. Then take me for a ride in your Mazda. Then come to my new home and eat mass quantities My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  24. That's because they're assholes. If I get a wingsuit will you jump with me? My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
