  4. It was one of the ads served by our ad agency that was trying to set a 3rd party cookie. I followed up with them to have that campaign removed. Safe swoops Sangiro

    Canopy stalled

Jumper was making an approach for landing in deep brakes and attempted to make a turn and in the process stalled the canopy. The canopy stalled out and she landed on pavement. She suffered fatal head injuries even though she was wearing a full face helmet
  8. Jumper experienced a spinning main malfunction on a canopy loaded at over 2.4 pounds per sq foot. He was unable to cutaway for unknown reasons and struck the ground while still in a high speed spin.

  14. He has not been banned from any forum or the site at all. He sent me a PM asking how his posts was being perceived by the moderators. I answered him. I never heard from him again. Even before I answered him he said that he may back off for a while. That's his choice. He's free and able to post here at any time. If he is saying (I didn't check) that he has been banned then he's being dishonest. I hope that's not the case. Safe swoops Sangiro

  17. Heya all, Unrelated to the power issues that caused last night's downtime.... Over the next week or so we're going to do a major hardware upgrade on all three our web servers. The goal is to improve overall site performance and to create redundancy for future growth. The servers will be removed one at a time, upgraded and reintroduced into the server cluster. If all goes well this should be a seamless experience. In fact, the first upgrade has already been done. Please bare with us if you do encounter the occasional hic-up though. We'll let you know when it's all done. Your overall experience of the site will be much smoother and faster afterwards. Thank you for your patience.
  18. Heya all, We experienced a site outage which started at around 10:30 pm PST last night. This was due to a major power issue in Vancouver where the servers are hosted. We're still working to ensure everything is functioning normally but apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for understanding. Safe swoops Sangiro

  21. I found a few other Kentucky Laws in the same league as this one: Kentucky statute says: "No female shall appear in a bathing suit on any highway within this state unless she is escorted by at least two officers or unless she be armed with a club." Later, an amendment proposed: "The provisions of this statute shall not apply to any female weighing less than sixty pounds nor exceeding 200 pounds; nor shall it apply to female horses." In Lexington, Kentucky, it's illegal to carry an ice cream cone in your pocket. Frankfort, Kentucky, makes it against the law to shoot off a policeman's tie. I know for a fact that there's not a website operator on the planet who doesn't go to bed at night worried sick about what law they're passing in Kentucky tomorrow. Though experiment: Umm... oooh look! Something shiny! Safe swoops Sangiro
  22. why are professional PHOTOGraphers excluded from a video contest? i make my living off still images, but suck at making videos.. why should i be excluded because i know how to use a camera? You should not be. That was never the intention. I suspect that double exclusion slipped in because these rules were adapted from a previous photography competition. I will amend that to exclude only professional videographers. Safe swoops Sangiro
