The NEO will be on display at PIA in Feb and will launch some time in 2019, I have been jumping the last two itterations of the prototypes over several months and I must say it's super comfy just like my other Vortex rigs but a lot slimmer and sligthly more elogated. As soon as they go into production I'm getting a custom one. Fly Your Soul, Free Your Mind!

I hear rumors that Parachute Systems has a new canopy in development set for release within the first half of the year. Fly Your Soul, Free Your Mind!

The ZP is the original design that had the accordion effect in turbulent conditions and I know this translated to the smaller sub 150 ZP.EXE's , as for the big 235 + ZP.EXE's they are good student canopies, my home dropzone bought 5 systems with the 285 ZP.EXE's in them a few months back. I flew one this weekend as a matter of fact for a course I did my CI made us jump student gear so we know what we are training the students on. And I must say the 285 ZP.EXE has nice positive flair but for the rest it's a big slow student canopy. And I agree at 50 jumps you should not be buying new look for a secondhand ZP.EXE or SOLO or Puls or similar canopy. Fly Your Soul, Free Your Mind!

Altimaster III Titanium - original selling price
Spokkie replied to likestojump's topic in Gear and Rigging
I own one, it's my mudflap alti for when I jump those pesky warm dress like suits. Fly Your Soul, Free Your Mind! -
Do yourself a favor and demo the canopy, demo all the canopies you are interested in and then make an informed decision for yourself on openings/flight/flare etc. everyone is entitled to their opinions but the only way to really know is to try it yourself. Fly Your Soul, Free Your Mind!

Out of interest sake seeing as the previous person did not respond did you request any changes? Fly Your Soul, Free Your Mind!

Would you like to elaborate on what caused the delay? Today I got notification that my rig is shipping so ought to have it on Monday, initial date was July 18th so just over 8 weeks, late so that's in line with what they said. My rig had no change requested. Fly Your Soul, Free Your Mind!

Did you send them a mail at [email protected] and inquire about the status of your rig? Fly Your Soul, Free Your Mind!

From what I understand orders that are exactly the same as original are going out faster than ones with changes. Reason being ones with changes have additional admin in terms of ensuring new order forms with all details correct are received in a timely manner from the customers and that invoices are issued and paid. I take my hat off to Parachute Systems, it's no every company out there that has balls big enough to take on the challenge of replacing 5 years worth of products and we are talking about several 100 rigs here. And let's face it very few Skydivers out there grasp how big of a task it is, most of the people I have talked to don't care about anyone else or about process or procedure they just want their new rig as fast as possible, and most of them that are being complete dicks about it are people that bought a 170 container 4 years ago or bought a second hand container and now they are having the size changed and measurements changed and colors changed and whatever else possible and they are still being dick's about it. And note that stuff like color changes and measurement changes are not charged for. Really wish I had bought a few second hand rigs before this happened as by the end of this I would have had a whole new fleet of rigs. I sent a mail to inquire on my recall status and my initial estimated date was in July it's currently in August so from what I can deduce they are about 3 weeks behind on their initial estimated dates. I was also informed that the custom embroidery would contribute to a delay. Fly Your Soul, Free Your Mind!

Having my cake and eating it - Container sizing
Spokkie replied to DHemer's topic in Gear and Rigging
Well I'm sure you will be fine with the 150LPV in the 135STD container. Fly Your Soul, Free Your Mind! -
Get yourself a Decelerator they are relatively cheap and fly well. Fly Your Soul, Free Your Mind!

The $150 is for container size change from 150 to 135 for example. Change on harness size ought to not carry cost, but waiting on a reply to confirm this. Fly Your Soul, Free Your Mind!

I don't know why they changed the supplier, but I'll put my money on "cheaper price". And this is how it goes! I would bet to say it has more to do with lead time and availability than with price. Just my 2 cents. Fly Your Soul, Free Your Mind!

There was only the RSL lanyard notice last year with the bar-tacking and then this one. The other notice that went out last year was for the UPT spectra ripcords on skyhook rigs. I'm sure they will address the issue in a way that is satisfactory to all customers as soon as more details are available on affected rigs. Just to add I have a DOM 11/2014 Vortex with about 180 jumps on it also with DSF hardware and no damage on it checked every piece of hardware on my rig. Fly Your Soul, Free Your Mind!
