  1. Get rid of him - entirely. Stop emails, phone calls, etc. If he has keys to your place, change your locks. If he knows passwords, change them. If you have an alarm system that he knows the code to, change it (them). Do not continue having anything to do with the individual. It will get worse if you continue hanging out with the individual. 2. We already had our Halloween party since we've got exams on Halloween and the following Monday. I went as a geisha (see attached). Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
  3. I have no problem with your organization, as long as you have no problem with mine: Extraterrestrials Absorbing Really Tasty Humans (EARTH) Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
  4. She'll be fine. Each one of us has to do what we need to in order to survive. If she feels that driving is what she needs to do, best of luck to her. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
  5. Pretty healthy - could do better, but... Alcohol - once in awhile and it's usually just a drink or two Smoke - never have/never will Drugs - no illegals/have a hard time taking prescription meds but do 'cause if I actually went to the doc for something, it means I've tried all the alternative ways of fixing the issue and it didn't work so now I'm trying the doc's way. Physical (aka doctor appointments) - yearly incl. bloodwork. Doctor says my bloodwork's great. Have not, yet, had a mammogram...doc wants to talk to me this year about scheduling my first. Not looking forward to getting my breasts squashed. Pap - had one this year. Am hoping to go every other year - with my doctor's permission since all has checked out well for years. Diet - here's where I could do better. I drink coffee (which I won't give up) but only 2 coffee mugs per day is the usual. There are days that I drink less coffee and days (*cough* finals *cough*) where I drink more coffee. I eat a lot better when there's someone else to cook for, because when it's just me, I have a hard time making a balanced meal - usually end up with just veggies or just fish or something like that. Exercise - 4-5 days a week in the gym with weights and cardio...1 1/2 hours at a time when I go which ends up being 1 hour of weights and 30 minutes of cardio. Obesity - have no clue what my BMI is. Hate the scale/measuring tapes, and down here I have yet to find anyone with a working scale and I didn't bring my measuring tape. I'll go with "I've had people see me in a bikini and they haven't given me a towel to cover up so the BMI must be semi-ok" approach. Vitamins - don't take them although I know I should Preventions - use safety features as often as they are available. Try to minimize the risks to an acceptable level. Vaccinations - don't think I could get more up-to-date if I tried. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. 6. There must be proof given when such a statement is claimed. Post video ASAP Now, Amazon...you know that any man who brags about the size of his member can not actually live up to said bragging. 8. Welcome to our beautiful country... a bit premature, but when you get here..WELCOME
  9. Thank you! Hurricane Omar, luckily, did not hit us with the center of the storm. If it had...yeah...don't want to think about it. Omar did enough damage to the island. It could have been worse, but the damage sucks and the lives that are going to have to rebuild... I'm thankful that I've now got running water and power.
  10. Thank you! I'd love to do some traveling but am not sure if I'll get the chance. If I can get a couple of the others that are going to go ahead of time (so I'm not traveling the country alone), I'd love to go before the course so that I can see some of the country.
  11. Why? Remember when I posted this - South Africa question? Well, I just received the email this morning and was offered a slot. I accepted the slot and sent off my deposit this morning. So...it's off to South Africa in August 2009 for 2 weeks. YEAH!!!! I'm so excited I could burst! Oh...and Hurricane Omar is scheduled to hit at 2am. Good thing - being sent home from school today so I was able to get the deposit put down for my SA trip . And no classes tomorrow so I can just study for my parasit exam on Wednesday. Life is short! 13. Perfect weekend: Generators fixed at the power company so that we can skip our "power shedding" (aka no power) times If the above doesn't happen, have power long enough to call and talk with some family and friends and have a warm shower. (I've already had coffee so the weekend's looking good so far. ) Not a big list.
  14. A gynecologist had become fed up with malpractice insurance and HMO paperwork, and was burned out. Hoping to try another career where skillful hands would be beneficial, he decided to become a mechanic. He went to the local technical college, signed up for evening classes, attended diligently, and learned all he could. When the time of the practical exam approached, the gynecologist prepared carefully for weeks, and completed the exam with tremendous skill. When the results came back, he was surprised to find that he had obtained a score of 150%. Fearing an error, he called the Instructor, saying 'I don't want to appear ungrateful for such an outstanding result, but I wonder if there is an error in the grade. The instructor said, 'During the exam, you took the engine apart perfectly, which was worth 50% of the total mark. You put the engine back together again perfectly, which is also worth 50% of the mark.' After a pause, the instructor added, 'I gave you an extra 50% because you did it all through the muffler.' 15. Ah...the first kiss. I had always thought it would be something that set butterflies going and would be enjoyable. I couldn't wait for it to stop. The guy was one of those that got your whole chin dripping wet. I had such a hard time not throwing up and just wiping my chin off. Needless to say...made me afraid for my second kiss. Life is short! 16. I used to when I was stateside, but down here, it's not offered so I won't be getting it for the next couple years. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.

  19. Don't forget GUNS! We made a stop in Kennesaw, Georgia! Damn! I knew I left something out. Now, all we need is boobies and sex, and I believe we've come full circle. Life is short! 20. I'm quite confused as to how my stating that I do not support PETA as well as the comment about animals and dissection have anything to do with what my position is as to whether or not humans are herbivores, carnivores, etc. Not sure how you can come up with a "kinda have" in relation to that. To be honest...I don't care what humans were originally designed for or have evolved to be. It's not something that matters to me as it will not change my eating habits. Plus, I won't be a doctor of humans so I don't care how they eat. If one's beliefs are that they want to be a vegan, awesome. If they want to be a carnivore, awesome. However, I like to learn why others have their positions/beliefs and what they base them on. I may actually learn something from a person. I may not agree with their position/viewpoint/etc., but I'm always up for learning something new. Do I eat red meat? Yes, back in the states probably once a week. Here on the island, maybe once a semester, if that. Do I eat chicken, turkey, etc.? Yes, about the same about home vs. here. Fish? Yes, more here on the island than back home. On the island, however, I find myself leaning towards a more vegetarian way of eating, and it's not because of some sudden change in views, it's because 1) The fruits and veggies here are spectacular , and 2) I'm not quite sure that I trust how they process meats. While I believe in humane treatment of animals - be they pets, livestock or wildlife, I do not believe in the extremist stances that PETA takes hence I will never support them. And as far as going through each of your individual points and coming up with the counterclaims (which I'd do through PubMed), since Dr. Karen's already pointed out a few, I'm going to spend my time in a little bit more of a satisfactory way...studying for a test in just a couple of hours. 21. I haven't stated my position as to whether humans are carnivores, omnivores, herbivores, chocolativores, etc. so don't make assumptions as to which "side" I'm on. Quite frankly, I've been exceptionally entertained with how this thread has continued. Starts out with PETA and human breast milk ice cream, goes to politics, goes to Dahmer, etc., and then is on to herbivore, carnivore, etc. I'm quite used to having to provide scientific and peer reviewed papers to back up my position (That whole grad school thing kinda requires it.), however, since I haven't stated my position, backing it up is not required. I, also, am not saying this is a dissertation. I am saying that.... You are very vehement in your beliefs. As a result, I'd expect better resources from you than Wikipedia. I've seen some really spectacular sites utilized by various people on this board to support their arguments and just expect the same out of you. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly!
