    Vector v310

It'll be tight but it should fit.
  2. I will also be using a dytter and wrist alti. Thanks though.
  3. EBay "BCD scuba hanger". They go for $13-$15 usd
  4. Has anyone configured their flysight as an audible altimeter like an N3A? The beta firmware supports voice output, and altitude triggered alarms, but I'm having a problem getting it to go off at the correct altitude. The alarms are in meters, so I converted to feet, and set the DZ ground offset, but the alarms are still way off.
  5. My opinion, take it for what its worth. If you are just starting, start on your current canopy (sabre2 150?). Sabre2's have pretty long recovery arcs. Not as long as a Katana but more than a Stiletto. I started double fronts on a Storm 190, then carving 90's on a Sabre2 170, then Sabre2 150. Now I'm working on 180's, and will be moving on to a Katana 150 before a Katana 135. After jumping the Katana 150, I'm glad I started on my less aggressive Sabre2. But, as said, you can get pretty decent swoops out of one all things considered. PS I hate Stilettos for swooping. The short recovery arc may prevent you from hitting as hard if you mess up, but you have to start your turn really low.
  6. Brake lines are too short. Or canopy is way out of trim.
  7. I agree. 160's have been sparse recently. I see a 99 for sale now for $600 with 8 packs and 0 rides, so maybe closer to that. I was recently looking for a 126. Was in a group conversation on FB with a seller and he offered a 93 with 30 something packs, 3 rides for $600 "for a quick sale". Other guy nabbed it immediately before I had the chance to tell him he was crazy.
  8. Short answer, sounds like it *should* fit. Long answer, talk to your rigger/instructors. A J3 is made for a 170 main. You should be able to stuff a 190 in there.
  9. I would say closer to $700
  10. I wear a chest mount for wingsuiting and backup (in case some idiot forgets to charge the digital). But i typically use my N3 as primary as well as an audible.
  11. and i spent an hour on the phone with cox this morning because my credit card got stolen last month and i needed up update it, but their website doesnt work, local number hangs up on me, and then they tried to slam me with $35 in fees for returned payment and phone assisted payment.
  12. i just got my sabre2 150s relined and the slider typically stays up higher longer. not a big deal for me. pump rears and its fine.
  13. yes, paralog contains the NMU that is used to access the N3 settings and update firmware.
  14. Chuck Norris can unscramble an egg.
  15. Those were the exact ones I was looking for but my searches all turned up old stuff. Thanks a lot! I appreciate it!
  16. Does anyone have a link to the malfunction flash cards for the first jump course? I've found videos, but Im looking for pics. advTHXance
  17. I saw some guys on one at Eloy. Thats about all I can contribute.
  18. Ive got a Evo 4g I activated on FreedomPop, a free carrier in the US. They use Sprint towers. You could rig up some kind of ghetto fabulous charging system and tuck it under the seat somewhere. If youre abroad, I think there are trackers that take SIM cards for communication. You send it a text, and it responds with the GPS coordinates. I think it's cheaper to get a pay as you go type card overseas than in the US. It would be sweet if you could wire it into the bike and make it go crazy when you find out its been stolen.
  19. I considered one. Nice and small, and the helmet mount looks like it would reduce snag points significantly. Things I dont like: Lower quality videos than GoPro. There are YouTube videos that demonstrate this. Indicator light is on top of unit, making it harder to confirm operation. Files are .mov, and are broken up into 5 min segments.
  20. Just keep your ears open. Listen to what people are talking about so you know what different terms mean. Dont try to out macho anyone, they wont be impressed. If people have gripes or complaints, listen to what they are. If someone messes up, others will talk about it an discuss what they did wrong or why its a problem. Try not to make the same mistakes. You can learn a lot hanging around the DZ, and it will help make your progression faster and cheaper when you start AFF. Lastly beer always helps, and learn to take a joke. If other skydivers like you, theyre gonna bust your balls.

    Cookie G3

So my head is 23 5/8", and my XXL is fairly snug all the way around. I would recommend trying one on first if possible, or be ready to send it back if not...

I think the G3s run a bit small IMO. I have an XXL and its snug all the way around. I dont remember what my head is though, I'll try to remember to measure when I get home.
  23. I had a storm 190 and the brakes were very deep. I always had to really kill it to get the best flare. Shortening the brake lines may help, but you dont want them so tight they are pulling when they are fully released. You can always take a wrap and see if it helps. I also noticed a huge improvement on my storm after a reline. I originally had old dacron lines, so they may have been out of trim.
  24. I would recommend a Sabre2. Preferably a 170 before you drop to a 150. As said, you dont want to come back front a winter break and downsize right away. Im about your same wingload, 215-220 exit on a 170 and I can hold double fronts all day long, so Im not sure why a Pilot would be that different. If you want more speed, you should talk to a coach about doing double front approaches, then transition into carving 90s etc. My 170 is considered a boat in the super swooper world but Im still able to build some pretty good speed with it.
