I've been driving my friends car since the accident without any trouble. I can drive day/night with the same confidence I had before I lost my eye. Do I need to go to the DMV and talk to them about this, do I need a provision on my license or anything like that? Or should I just wait until my license expires and then go in?

My only out landing was around jump 35-40. We did a disorganized flock out of the otter, 8 of us tracking both downwind, AND downwind of the dropzone. No one was paying attention. One person made it back, barely. The rest of us had to find places to land up in NW washington wilderness where if it isn't meant to be a landing zone, you'll have a hard time landing there. I landed in a clearing of a small tree farm, by far my most favorite landing yet

Damn! Yeah I had my eyebrow pierced for about 3-4 months before my car accident. They took the stud out while I was unconscious so that they could take x-rays and mri's and such. I was pissed when I opened my wallet and saw some weird piece of metal in there and realised it was my piercing. The whole closed up completely before I had a chance to put it back in.

Was anyone else really dissapointed that book 6 is around 200 pages shorter than the previous? I was really hoping it would be around 800-1000+ pages

Yeah, I too think that Harry will die when he kills Voldemort. The prophesy says "Neither can live while the other survives". To me that means if one dies, they both die. Or perhaps by "live" they mean go about a normal life. Bah, I don't know

SPOILER!!!! I've still got my hopes up that Snape will turn out to be on the good side, despite his hatred for Harry and his parentage. The unbreakable vow at the beginning of the book I think carries a lot of weight. If Snape had not made sure that Draco stayed alive and safe, he himself would have broken the vow and died.. Dumbledore was a dead man, even if Draco didn't have it in him to kill him himself. Eventually the death eaters would have taken it upon themselves. There was something strange about Dumbledore's pleading toward Snape before he died too. I had the distinct feeling that he was asking for Snape to kill him himself, and save Draco from officially becoming a death eater. Being an excellent Occlumens Snape will be able to tell Voldemort whatever he needs to, to free Draco of any responsibility for not casting the avada kadevera curse himself. He'll still be able to give the Order inside information about Voldemorts plans and whereabouts. Every time Harry questioned Dumbledore about Snapes true allegience, the professor adamantly stated that he trusted Snape completely. I'm wondering if Snape made the unbreakable vow with the professor that he would not return to the side of the Dark Lord. Dumbledore knew how powerful of an Occlumens Snape is, and that he was able to fool the Dark Lord. Therefore I don't think Dumbledore would have taken Snapes mere word that he was playing for the home team. The Vow would ensure that if Snape had switched sides again, he would die and be out of the picture. The fact that the Unbreakable Vow is deemed illegal would explain why Dumbledore never gave a good reason for being so sure that Snape was on his side. I dunno, I'm just speculating...

Well, if you have a cutaway as a student you're going to want a drink right? And it would probably be nice to get some beer as a thank you for the people that help you gather your gear and such. So whether or not it's required, you're most likely gonna pass around a few beers anyway

Yeah, I'm not sure how much I'll be able to talk the guy down though. All the other 300M's in the same field that I've looked at have been priced 8-10 grand. $6250 is already below blue book. We'll see though, it'll need a new set of tires within the year most likely, and there're a few minor cosmetic repairs I'll need to do

So I used to have a copy of PowerDVD, I lost the disk/key. Anyone know of a good free DVD decoder/player for PC? I wouldn't mind watching a movie or two on my new LCD. I finally bought one after accidently dropping my CRT out the back of an Explorer

For the first time since I was 15 I'm without a car. As you can see, my grand am didn't fare well in my head on collision with a dump truck I test drove a 1999 Chrystler 300M this morning and I loved it. Couldn't really find anything to complain about. TONS of room, fully loaded w/ leather interior and heated seats. Nearly as much horsepower as my dads Z28. Does anyone have any complaints about the car? Things I should take a closer look at? The car I test drove was in good condition. A fair number of blemishes on the outside, and a slice in the vinyl on the dash that can be repaired for a small amount of money. The guy is selling it for $6250, I think I can get it from him for $5500 or so. What do you guys think? Should I keep looking?

Can you be compensated for the loss of an eye through Social Security? People are telling me to look into it after my car accident last month where I destroyed my right eye and had it removed entirely. Is it even worth looking into?
