  2. Since I don't see them anywhere yet.... For anyone who doesn't know it's humps (or anything else significant) : jumps : beer owed 1 really nice Saturday surprise:11:2 I had soo much fun this weekend! After a really nice surprise on Saturday I worked my butt off learning to sitfly-I've never made so many jumps in one weekend (it may not seem a lot to some people0-but for me its a lot!) By the end of today I can say I improved drastically and can fly a stable sit-yay!! Beer is owed for my first sitfly-and my first time ever having double digit jump numbers for a weekend-graduating from college is great! *daizey*
  3. It was cool meeting you today! Thanks for the seatbelt
  4. 1 night spent freezing my butt off:4:0 Apparently we need to wait a little bit longer to start camping at the dz. 48 degrees was jsut a little too chilly 4 fun jumps-1 crazy hybrid, 1 high pull on Justi's pilot (which I LOOOOVE), 1 4 way, and 1 free play on my belly while Eric got some nice pictures. It was a fun weekend! *daizey*
  5. Sheesh and you'd think you'd know how to spell my name by now JT is the only one I'm related to-...for now at least *daizey*
  6. We found a place to take it finally at about 8:00 last night....a place called Captive Born reptiles-they have all sorts of different reptiles there-snakes, alligators, lizards, etc. So they took him and will adopt him out. Now I just hope we didn't take some kids beloved pet and donated him to a reptile store But we searched EVERYWHERE yesterday...and we had no way to take care of it here. So it was the best thing for it, even if did Phree made a little girl cry cause she wanted to keep her (her mom said no way) *daizey*
  7. 1 painful headcold:2:0 So I found out this weekend that I have a slight headcold that made my ears hurt a lot! So I only made one jump each day-they were a lot of fun though! The first was a 3way belly with 2 freeflyers where I decided to go low nearly the entire time and the second was a sweet hybrid that was so much fun! Hopefully next weekend this cold will be gone! *daizey*
  8. Hey everyone! Just wanted to let everyone know that the Otter has returned to Skydive Greene County is ready to fly jumpers whenever the weather decides to revert back to spring! If anyone is in the area on Saturday, April 14th, there will be an informational meeting held out the dz to discuss the upcoming season, planned events, and jump ticket prices. The meeting will begin promtly at 6:00 pm. Hope to see everyone there!
  9. LOL I remember that pic! I still have it somewhere around here too! *daizey*
  10. Subway is the way to go. The #4 train, as well as the D trains make stops at 161st St./Yankee Stadium. From times square hop the S or 7 to 42nd st./Grand Central and treansfer to the 4. Or hop on the 1 or 9 down to 34th and get on the D train. Either way it's approx a 1/2 hour to the stadium. If you are positive you want to stay in Times Square just know that you will be paying a ton more than staying nearly anywhere else. It's very easy to get to Times Square if you stay anywhere else-not to mention it's loud and bright The see all you can passes are alright, but depending on what you want to o while you are there, it sometimes is cheaper and makes more sense to just pay for the admission at the places you want to go. Let me know if you need any other info-I just moved away from NYC after Christmas last year
  11. Hey Ohio's not too bad...I moved to Columbus from NYC and I actually like it Although it does smell funny this time of year *daizey*
  12. I am attempting to set up penpals for my students right now, but so far haven't gotten too far. I am really looking for a class of students to write back and forth with mine so we can just send all of the letter to one place. I tried looking online but I can't really find too many actual classes that want to write, more of just individuals who are looking for penpals. So I figured why not give it a try here
  13. Umm..speaking from experience, you beed to be careful with this advice...my dry sockets came from rinsing TOOO much-and too hard-spitting out the salt water can lead to dry sockets-as can smoking, drinking carbonated drinks, and drinking through a straw. But sometimes you can do everything right and still get them. As for washing away the clotted blood...do you know what a dry socket is? A "dry socket" occurs when the blood clot is lost from an extraction site prematurely. You do NOT want to wash these away! They form a scab which helps the gum to heal properly and protect the underlying structures in the extraction area. When the blood clot is lost before the underlying structres have had time to heal, the bone and the nerve endings are exposed. Until you can see your doctor (I had to wait too as mine started on a fri and I ignored it till Sat night and the dentist was closed on Sun and Mon) try using a heating pad on it and continue to rest up. Even if it hurts continue to eat because your body needs strength to heal! Feel better! After I got the packs (the gauze inside the holes in the gums) things got better really fast. Good luck!
  14. That movie used to scare the hell out of me when I was a kid...still kinda freaks me out even now that I am older. I never cried because of something that happened in the movie-I just cried when it was on tv *daizey*

  17. So yesterday I met up with Skymama and her daughter and showed them around NYC a bit. I kept her out till 1am- wayyy past her bedtime, but we had a lot of fun! We continued the fun today until I had to leave mid-afternoon. Then they continued the fun without me I'm so glad I finally got to meet her. For those of you who haven't, Andrea's a really awesome person

Thanks everyone! It's true, I can't teach any higher than elementary school cause they'd be taller than me haha actually, I'm gonna get my masters in middle childhood I think, so most likely I will once again be the shortest kid in class Even right now, I am student teaching in fourth grade (3 days to go!!) and I have a student who is taller than me The kitties are definitely on my list of reasons to move to Ohio, Sunny! I miss them! You know what's funny? I started posting here on my first day of college.

Elementary education. I need to get my masters still so I'm not completely done, but that'll be done in the near future. I'm planning on getting that in science.
