  1. actually i used it and could not see a difference in the time Battery life is concerning - the Altitudes were (for my limited Bellystuff) right on Spot, if you check the Video i did - i hold my N3 as often as possible into the pictutre as possible and it was always withing 50 Feet +/- i think the "Burble" when you track maybe influencing the accuracy a bit - but maybe someone with a broader knowledge of that can comment. The NICE thing is that if you are at a DZ with a TV thats plays directly from the GoPro - you have INSTANT real Time Subtitles - from the Camera - no need to match / sync it. With the Configuration Tool, you decide what you want to display - so you can do Feet / Meter or both , GForce , XYZ etc. And the Price is actually 74 USD for something that has been designed by skydivers from the US - i think the price is remarkable if you think how much R&D has to be done to support all the different GoPro Modells
  2. Hey, I just wanted to post something about an add-on for the GoPro Camera. I am lucky enough to know the inventors of the Alti-Force Sensor Pack and had a pre-release unit to play around with. I think this is the perfect tool for all Instructors/Coaches and skydivers. It will display subtitles on your Video showing Altitude and even G-Forces. I think this is an easy to use and affordable tool for Instructors, especially for debriefing students. Here is a link to the Website and a link to a Video that shows it - they seem to have a great Product - Designed in the US and definitely something you can use to train Students or just illustrate the Altitude at any moment on a Jump. Great for Instructors, this is created by US Skydivers who put lots of heart into it , Altitude: Feet, Meters, Both, None Acceleration: XYZ axes, Total magnitude, All, None G-bar: On, Off Temperature: °F, °C, None Video with an example here: https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10153700828693712&set=vb.808653711&type=3&theater

I think the pricing is very reasonable, check it out at: http://www.altiforce.net/ Here is the Video for the Altiforce https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=686824438095479&theater ( i am not the manufacturer or seller, i know the guys who did this and just support their Idea)
  4. maybe someone has done somethng like this. I got a Z1 FullFace and have the Square-1 Gopro Mount, while i think this "cased/curved mount" is pretty much "snag resistant" i still somehow would like to add a "cutaway" to the helmet, has anyone done something like this with a Z1, how about a "2 or 3 ring release" in the ChinStrap - something on the market ?
  5. in the meantme, i came up with a screenprotector , 2mm of Plexiglas, check out the Pictures. They are coming with 4 slightly longer screws, fit into the Hardhousing perfectly while keeping buttons acessable. i dropped some at Gravity Gear in San Diego and can Mail them if someone wants them.
  6. Hi Gang, i just want to update that ICARUS came back with the results of their investigation, while they cannot confirm it was the canopy or the previous repair they offered me a solution thats completely acceptable to me and i can say, although it took some time - they made a serious effort to make me a happy customer that would return for Business with them !
  7. if interested, send payal to [email protected] i ship within a couple days !!
  8. Hi guys, i noticed many of my friends using the N3 Altimeter are having either dents in the Aluminum case or cracks in their screens, so a ran a little CNC Production of Screenprotectors, if anyone is interested, see the pictures - it is easy to install in the "hardcase" Wristholder - i sell them for 10 USD incl. Shipping (the Production cost was 5,50 Euro (about 8$)so i am not tying to make a profit here - just helping people out to protect their Gear ! The buttons will be acessable ! In July i will also drop some at Gravity Gear in San Diego, so you may just talk to Bonnie!
  9. The worst slamming canopy I've ever owned was a Cobalt 170, loaded at 1.7:1 It was absolutely the worst canopy I ever owned. The openings were just plain ol' unpredictable. I did find out how stop it. I know this is going to sound retarded, but it opened perfectly in a sit-fly, stand, or in the speediest part of turning and burning. Sent it back to them, they refunded my money. I meant to ask you about the slider dimensions. I had a Heat Wave 170 after the Cobalt, best canopy I've ever own next to my new X-Fires. However there were a number of us that bought them, and we had to put larger sliders in them to open correctly, it worked.
  10. look UP UP UP... i had spinning issues and finally we figured out i was looking to much "down" .. head tilt backwords did the trick for me
  11. unfortunally i have not heard back from them, if thats an indication of the Customer Service they provide in spain i am not happy. the US REP is very nice and respinsive but keeps telling me to wait for a reply week after week. That canopy is now in Spain for almost 4 weeks
  12. thank all for the valuable Info, i will take that "thing" to my rigger in San Diego and have him look at it (he is german, so he may has seen some of them) and see how it looks ,-) thanks again for all the valuable input !
  13. go through a Local Dealer / Rigger to have the Transaction Brookered, it puts BOTH SIDES at ease, the fee you pay the Dealer is worth it !
  14. thanks , will do , may have to sell it in Europe then ,)
  15. thanks so much , so i have to part it out i guess ,-(
