  1. October 1974. Now there's a red letter month in the history of skydiving! What happened you ask? That's the month a plucky Rodger Conley met Jim Long and started Canton Parachuting School at Martin Field. Who knew that the desire of a few skydivers to jump closer to home would turn into such a legacy. Canton Air Sports invites you to help celebrate 40 continuous years of skydiving operations this October for a very special weekend of skydiving, camaraderie, and reminiscing as we bring together both old timers and new schoolers to look towards a bright future at one of the most scenic drop zones in the country. Friends, family, and next of kin...please join us October 25th & 26th as we host the fast climbing Skydive Chicago Caravan taking both tandems and fun jumpers alike to 13,000 ft. Free camping and showers are available so you're encouraged to join us for the entire weekend. We'll have free food Saturday as Bryan Stinnett will be cooking and cozy up to the bonfire Saturday night as we host a Halloween costume party so get your costume ready as well! Additional surprises await including giveaways, games, a 40th Anniversary T-Shirt design, and possibly a NIGHT JUMP Saturday evening if we get enough qualified interest. Contact Canton Air Sports TODAY at 1-800-772-4174 or canton-airsports.com to reserve your spot. More updates to come so please take a moment to like us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/pages/Canton-Airsports/109239090414 for up to the minute news as this amazing weekend approaches. Trust us...you don't want to miss a minute!
