I have only been to a few DZs outside of my home DZ, but like your situation I was going from a very small place to a very big one. One thing that made me feel more comfortable, after doing what everyone else has suggested (briefing etc.) is to watch a load or two open and land. Watch where and how they setup their landing patterns. Don't forget to have fun!

Any updates? I've got several people that will travel for a balloon jump, and it sounds like there would be more from Chester.

I am in Winston Salem and I jump at Carolina Skydiving in Jonesville. There are several jumpers there that are also interested in doing a balloon jump. I'm confident that I could get a group to make the trip if y'all get something together. If you want a head count let me know when you're think of doing it, and I'll ask around.

I have recently acquired my B license and I am itching to do a balloon jump, does anyone know of anywhere on the east coast that does balloon jumps? I am in NC, but would be willing to travel to do this!
