    ******current prices in Belgium:
    95 unleaded: €1.53
    Diesel: €1.55

95 unleaded is €1.79 in the Netherlands currently. Thats $2.01, per Liter, not gallon. So you can do that times 3.8 roughly.

20 gal would roughly be $152 in the Netherlands, $134 in Belgium.

So yeah, 40 bucks is cheap. dirt cheap.

YUP Yanks have no clue how good they have it in regards Petrol costs. It cost me $110 -$120 AUD per week to fill my vehicleYou can thank your government for that. The oil isint really any more expensive in AUS or the EU, but the government taxes the shit out of it so most of what your paying is taxes and not the cost of the fuel itself. REALLY :o WOW:o

  5. Hi Sunny B|

I miss the NOT USA thread where all the folks who are awake at the time of USA night (and night owls like Amazon) would get together from all around the world and chat. It was almost a live mIRC chat :)

  6. Man there;'s a lot of negativity in here.

Chica take it seriously but have fun,:)
40 years riding and no major issues, I would recommend once you are comfortable on the bike to take DEFENSIVE rider training. and also find a "Track day" event (if there is one in Alaska). You'll learn heaps about cornering and braking from a good "track day".

    Congrats and have fun:)

I have always required a main PC handle that I can hit with the palm of my hand and find it if needed. That is rigid tubing or hackey, but not a lump of soft foam! I noticed on both types of firm handles especially on the hackey, a lot of flopping around and pilot chute creeping out in flicks. Sitting in airplane also walks it out. I mounted a dot fastener or snap in the correct position to peel it open during pull. Problem gone. I chuckle when I see the line up walking to load with half of them with dangling handles. They have had no "reported" problems yet. Remember, "It doesn't take much to work and it doesn't take much to not work"

WOW 15 year old thread resurection :D

I now use a freefly friendly monkeyfist throw-out. It has a tuck tab sewn to it, so the handle sits very snuggly in place and yet I still have a very positive grip on lit at deployment time.

The shot itself was nothing, 5 minute procedure.
Was a little stiff yesterday but the pain is way less than it was before, need to let it rest for a couple more days then start strength training.

Also Medicare covered everything so that was good.

    Cool, thanks
We need to catch up it's been a while :)

My life has gotten much easier since I sobered up 22 years ago.

Everyday of my life since August 10th 1990 has been better and better. One day at a time it continues to be so.:)

    ******Where's Aggie Dave these days?

I believe he decided to stay on the ground for a while. So he took a break from here too.

IIRC, kids were taking up enough time that he couldn't stay current enough to be safe (smart move IMO).

He was also busy writing his books, among other things.

    Life happens.

A bit of googling turned up his website.
He now lists himself as an ex-skydiver, and ex-cop, who is now a writer and photographer.
I'm really curious how well that torn muscle in his arm recovered.
I still chat with Dave on FB he's doing well. I visited him a couple of years ago whilst doing one of my cross country jaunts. I'll see him again at years end, when I'm in North America for 12 months

We miss him all the time too. Too many memories of times with him, not just at the DZ, but all over. . . [:/]

It's funny how some people thought of him as over the top, but I always felt that he just wanted to check right away to see if others had a sense of humor. I felt he didn't want to waste too much time on people who didn't like to laugh. :)

He was just another square peg in a world of round holes, we had that in common
I completely understood his view on life and people and in most part agreed with his view.
