  1. Rules for letting fish bite one's self - fishing industry must be worried about noodlers irritating their customers by the competition for the big ones. Funny and stupid simultaneously. Oh and we get to pay for this new noodling bureaucracy.
  2. Wife had knee xray showing inboard side of left knee bone - bone against bone. Outboard side looked OK with noticeable space separating lower and upper bone. Wife has serious pain upon waking up in morning and applying pressure on it the 1st time and beginning to walk around - then pain reduces after moving around a while. Questions - Is there any style of knee brace that can alleviate the pain to being livable enough to avoid surgery? Does this situation mean knee replacement is the only alternative? I've heard a lot of bad complications/outcomes happen with knee replacements. Any advise greatly appreciated.
  3. Would be nice for helmet producers to possibly incorporate G-Form knee pad shock absorbing material into the products they produce to protect our heads. My elbow knows for a FACT G-Form's material works. When you hear the impact of your elbow against the tunnel glass/lexan loud and clear (like a baseball bat hitting a home run) over all other sounds in a running tunnel you're flying in with a G3 on w/earplugs in and feel no pain then or after - bottom line WooHoo for G-Form's super hi-tec impact absorbing material.
  4. The Best - need to be able to supply the Best or it is nearly impossible to stay the Best if clients that can't wait 8 months must shop elsewhere.
  5. Might depend on where U live. If far away U need to add in transportation costs to decision process. As far as training there I would combine basic flying there and once and a while maybe at a more sophisticated tunnel for comparison purposes. Bottom line Russia has very good deals compared to USA.
  6. Prices look to be very good. Wish I lived close to it. Not very big and fancy but for basic flight training and even advanced stuff it looks like it would serve the purpose minus the high operation costs of more sophisticated tunnel systems. Of course Shaquille Oneill might not fit. ;)
  7. I'm leaning towards the flying group with associated increased wind speed and weights (a lot of them) as a cause myself but what's done is done no matter the cause. Will work with bands (Thanks for the idea jaguaRjaguaR) and did find what look like some good rotator cuff videos of exercises for maintenance and rehab of the joint. What a complicated mess the rotator cuff joint is. Advise to All - take good care of the shoulder joint at all times even though that has to be difficult in the tunnel or sky.
  8. Better late than never Anachronist. Thanks
  9. I'm scratching my head also as to cause. I had begun flying 4 way in the tunnel with a league group. It eventually took 27 lbs of weights on a belt for me to be able to fly properly with them at their wind speed (67.5% which was +7.5 what I normally flew at) they had established as a happy medium for the group. Probably had 30-45 minutes of that a week or two prior to my pain coming on. Thinking that might have multiplied/amplified stress on shoulders somehow. Oh well - may never know - just want to get back to 100% and get back in.
  10. No particular intent - just sharing what my friend told me years ago. As far as my last remark goes - when nukes get thrown everyone will be suffering badly afterwards. No Winners IMHO
  11. OK so Putin displays his missile - impressive if what he say it will do is actually true. I remember a friend of mine in an electrical family (dad and 3 brothers all electrical experts of one kind or another told me years ago. All of them were electricians except one brother who was state of the art hi-tech electrical engineer and worked many years on an atoll in the middle of the Pacific for our government on top secret projects. Youngest brother kept asking what his hi-tech brother worked on and was never told a thing except that whatever he thought the US was capable of just multiply that many times to get near the truth that few will ever know before it's obsolete. So, I am not overly worried about Russia's newest claim -
  12. I have no medical knowledge to speak of but if not from my Feb 26 crash possibly a cumulative coincidental effect of nearly 13 hours of tunnel fun with a bad habit of flying with arms extended out wide - can't seem to get the hang of mantis. No matter the cause I just want to get back in the wind. ;)
  13. All my pain is in the shoulder joint/down deep - started out steady but could be lessened for a little while by perfect positioning of arm and body - then as it got more painful the pain pulsated from a level 5 up to 10 over a few seconds - over and over and over etc. etc. Been on Nabumetone (some sort of an NSAID/ibuprofen) - 500 mg once a day for last 20 days - took a few days for full effect to happen - have to eat b4 taking these pills - worked to remove most of the pain made life bearable. Got most movement ability back. HaHa took last 500 mg this evening. When the effects of the pills wear off I'll know where I am actually at on this. Hoping 4 the best but still a bit anxious.
  14. Very likely you R correct since legislators have kept their stupid heads in the sand so far. I have heard even hi-tek AI leaders involved in this state that lawmakers need to get take action to set some parameters..
  15. This may sound radical but maybe lawmakers should be in control of programming scenarios about who or what an AI vehicle hits. Regarding privately owned vehicles and if possible all vehicles - Legislators need to generate a framework for AI vehicles operate within that protects the driver 1st "no matter what" since they own the vehicle. Legislators won't need to be experts but layout rules of the road that allow all of us to weigh in with our representatives otherwise a bunch of self serving interests of industry will prevail and when shit hits the fan we will hear the data is private. Fuck That. Yes, political ethics is a problem but this is one time citizens better wake up since their lives may depend on it every day. This new AI technology has , can and will kill many and that needs to be kept to a minimum preferably this one lady only. This ought to start a bonfire. :)
  16. Unless one is on the short end of an AI automobile experiment stick like this lady was.
  17. All reports I have heard tonight on TV (CBS, ABC, NBC) said the pedestrian was "out of a crosswalk" - maybe this smart car was programmed to disregard law violators. In the end many will be sacrificed to advance technology just because they can dream it up..
  18. The stuff makes me vomit badly - Thanks for the suggestion though.
  19. Much Thanks to you all for the info offered. Will be using it all in my decision making on this - seems there's never a dull moment in air sports whether indoor or outdoor - always a way to get hurt. ;) BUT it's worth it for the Joy of flying. Many don't get it -
  20. Ain't nobody walking this off - 1st time 4 me so it's all new to me - just curious as to experiences of others. This has paid off with a pm from a medical professional skydiver with great advise and info. I never regret posting here on dz considering how many helpful knowledgeable people are here.
  21. Gotcha - have seen GP, got prescribed xrays and am headed to Orthopedic specialist ASAP + NSAIDs for pain - just sounded good to have a possible natural pain relief minus possible side effects. Thanks for lookin' for some additional info . Just pissed for the loss of tunnel currency this will cause. :)
  22. Trust me gowlerk if U had this U might be tempted to grab at straws also. ;) If I wasn't somewhat suspect of the claims I wouldn't have posted here - where many thoughtful serious insightful people with a major level of diverse experiences to draw info from. Have a Good One
