  3. How did you make the Boards? Kyle Batchelor
  4. Who Makes or has Skysurfing Skyboards, especially a Beginner Board? Tom Stanton was the only one in the U.S. making them and he has retired. Surely someone else in the world can make these boards. Kyle Batchelor
  5. Where on Earth can a Skydiver get a Beginner Skyboard. I managed to find a larger board for later but I need to progress safely. Tom Stanton does not Make the his Boards anymore, he has retired. Any suggestions and I am not looking for your opinion on the discipline. Which drop zones do Skysurfers hang out at? Maybe I could find one there? I don't think this post should be in Classifieds, this is a gear question. Anything helps. i will not stop until I find one even if I end up never using it. I am not giving up Just because I can't find a piece of equipment. Kyle Batchelor
  6. So long as it is in good condition and not pink in color, consider it sold. Kyle Batchelor
  7. Thank you much. Does this person Make the boards? or Do they just happen to have some? Kyle Batchelor
  8. Hello, just recently Tom Stanton stopped making his Skyboards. Very disheartening for me as I was ready to purchase one. Does anyone knows Who builds Skyboards anywhere in the world. Please.. I do not want your opinion on the discipline itself. I have looked extensively online and cannot find anyone. Kyle Batchelor
  9. Here on Dropzone.com when I change my gear in the personal info for what rig I use it gives the option for 'G2' Kyle Batchelor
  10. I did my first six jumps when I was 18yrs old about to graduate high school. Then didn't jump for eight years. I got back into it in 2013 and can't believe I waited that long. Got my A licence. School, Marriage, Kids and career I guess. If i was more wealthy, I would have done nothing else for the rest of my life after that first jump except skydive until I couldn't anymore! I did it to be that bad ass senior at High School. Little did I know it would be the greatest thing ever. Kyle Batchelor
  11. Thank You for your input sir. I am very thankful. Would you have any advice for me as I wish to Sky Surf in the near future? I have done tons of reading and research! I have seen a video of a beginner board with regular footing deploy his main parachute while on his belly without any rotation. Whats your thoughts on that? Thanks. Kyle Batchelor
  12. How were the small parachute containers attached to the board? Screws, rivets or some hardcore glue of some kind? Kyle Batchelor
  13. Does anyone have any information on the Parachute Recovery Systems they used on Sky Surfing Boards(Skyboards). Can they be purchased or were they entirely custom by a rigger? Kyle Batchelor
  14. Hey folks. I just bought a Mirage M5 with a 189 safire2 and 181 Super Raven. All used except the AAD but is super clean and looks great with less than 50 jumps. The container was manufactured February 1999 and the serial number is 01988. Is this a G2 or G3? It does not say. Kyle Batchelor
  15. Did my 7th and 8th jump yesterday. It went great, I aced it. Looking to see if there is anyone out there riding to skydive Pennsylvania from Pittsburgh on the weekends. I don't drive and my friends all work on the weekends. No jitneys. Kyle Batchelor
  16. Thanks. I will relax before the jump.. I try to concentrate on the objectives while on the plane. Kyle Batchelor
  17. Thanks for the info..thats a bummer. whomever builds one around here should do well. Kyle Batchelor
  18. Welcome my man. Hey I feel ya on how you have to wait for the money situation. Having to wait a couple weeks before ya can jump again.. its ok plenty of folks are doin the same. In fact I have to do the same thing. The more you jump tho the cheaper it Should get. It will take time to get better and perfect your skills, just keep skydiving as a lifelong hobby and youll get there in no time! Kyle Batchelor
  19. Thank you. Best of luck to you too. Wonder if there are any wind tunnels around Pittsburgh. Kyle Batchelor
  20. Yea, I do wonder how I went 8 whole years without one jump..and the bug never left. Kyle Batchelor
  21. Hey whats up folks, Im new to dropzone.com. Just thought I'd share my experience as a newbie. I jumped 6 six back in 2005(AFF). I was 18 years old at that time. I was on level 7 on the 6th jump. Then I met my Wife , got married and have 2 kids. Its been 8 years and now things have settled a bit. Now I'm scheduled to jump on August 24th this year and can't think about anything else really. The exhileration and visuals are unmatched. I am starting the beginner course over obviously, fortunately Skydive Pennsylvania is nice enough to gimme a break on that first jump price since I still have my Logbook and A class card. I remember doing 90 degree turns fine and did a nice controlled 360 but on the 6th jump I did an uncontrolled 360. I swear I was in good position and was turning out of it but my instructor (Jeff Reckard at the time) had to assist. Anyway I'm looking forward to getting done right and sticking with it this time, so long as the budget allows anyway ya know. Any tips for a newbie on stability... Kyle Batchelor
