  1. Okay thanks for the advice everyone. I'll check out chutingstar. Sounds a little less stressful than dealing with a random stranger and hoping for the best.
  2. Ah I didn't think to run the pics through tineye. I'll try that. Assuming he hasn't pulled the ad. He knows the jig is up now.
  3. No question this is a scam. Guy replied with a riggers name. First name only and didn't give me the name of the dz he supposedly jumps at. So I call this guy. He could barely speak English. All he could say was the rig is good to go. I asked him details that he couldn't answer. So I asked what dz he worked at. He then hung up. So I'm going to report this.
  4. Ok thanks. I'm currently trying to negotiate with someone on a rig that seems to be too good to be true. Vector V3,Sabre2,PD reserve, and Sigil for $3800. 9 jumps total.Dom 2010 on all. Getting out of the sport and is selling cheap. Wanted to immediately exchange shipping and payment terms. I asked for serial numbers since many of the ads here have serials listed in the ad. He said he won't do that for fear of misuse of those numbers. So I asked for a drop zone or Rigger he may know. Still waiting to hear back.
  5. Hi, I'm a skydiver with broken time looking to get back into the sport. Trying to buy a used rig from the classifieds here. I'm unsure of how the buying process works. Is there a specific means of protection or is it simply between you and the seller? I have my eye on a couple systems but obviously want to avoid scams. Thanks. Nick
