Was in Valencia/Santa Clarita today and got pretty pissed off when a group of "mourners" going to the crash site memorial held today passed us on the road driving WAY too fast zipping through traffic like a bunch of fucking dickheads. Visited the Siskiyou Smokejumpers Museum in Cave Junction Oregon this past weekend and was taken on a tour by I believe his name was Hugh Rosenburg. That was really interesting and informative. Wondering if there's any smokejumpers on here?? HIGHLY recommend checking out the museum if your in the area!! Gonna give it a go in the local area here. Got some meetings set up, just interested in what others involved experience as far as gear, training etc. This is a local mountain area so I figure area knowledge, physical ability..I have lived and worked here (EMT 911 ambulance) for just over 6 years so not a stranger to hiking in heat and snow to package and extricate pts sometimes using helicopters sometimes carrying on a backboard or stokes. Im aware its a volunteer service and looking for some experienced insight as far as self supplied gear/training etc. Like I said I will be meeting with these guys soon, just kinda poking around here..... So what the fuck Paid for the Direct TV "NHL Network" crap and Im like 60 miles from LA, and I dont know 300ish miles from San Jose. I got it to watch Sharks games and getting tired of this "This Channel Blacked Out in Your Area" shit WTF? I get some games from both SJ and LA sometimes....if it wasnt for all the other games.... Heading down to Bakersfield, going to crawl around in the attic and expose some pipe (). Got 2 estimates so far for full repipe of the duplex and just the "horizontal" stuff. If its just a matter of adjusting them then please do just that. Myself, I drive a lot for work. Im often blinded by not just mis-adjusted headlights but those newer bright ass lights that are "safer" for the ones with them, regardless of blinding me and anyone driving the opposite direction. I even posted on dz dot bitching about it awhile back So if its just a matter of them not adjusted correctly please fix that. ------------------------------------------ The Dude Abides. -
