Priceless Unfortunately I have to walk around with these 2, 8" bolts going through my sacrum for the rest of my life. The benni though is that I can predict the weather

  7. Yes...NOW...then it was a little harder to find. Most electronic stores never heard of it. But my adventures through Manhatten to find my cable proved worth it.

  11. Being a skydiving instructor is great to get you through college. work weekends, flexable schedule, summers!!! but remember lets say your 45 and get an injury that you can't recover from. just like any athlete you need a fall back. when college ends so do my ratings, becuase thats when my dream of one day 'paying' for skydives again comes true!!!!
  12. and for all those that uselessly read this post...stuffit gave me extra tissues
  13. does 99.9999999% of the shower settings in my shower make the water temperature unusable to any man or beast on this planet!?! Half hair to the right and it's freezing cold, half hair to the left and it's scolding hot. So I hear there are digital gauges you can get you can set the exact temp you need. Are they expensive? What is the dillio yo?!?
  14. Find an authorized Sony Dealer and they can point you to the closest drop off pt. Local Electronic Stores mostlikely will end up doing that on such a complicated fix. If you want in the meantime, I have a Cam Eye I you can use over your red record light. $10 I'll send it today.
  15. 1977 Mustang II Fastback Mach 1 (suped up pinto!!!)
  16. Well, we finally came up with a name. Taylor Leanne Neas should be born in May 2004. Thanks everyone for your support, it's always a rough go to give the kids a decent name...you never know what nickname the kids in school can create. Your Friend, Jerrmmmy Wormmmmy
  17. The operating temperatures are in your manual. I believe the bottom end is 5 degrees F. Don't start cryin if you exceed this cold limit and your camera shuts down. And eventually, permanately. The camera motors only move in a few different speeds (2 in rec, 3 in rewind, 4 in playback). Imagine jumping in your car and hitting the gas to 3000 rpm immediately in the freezing cold. Can you do it? Yup Good idea? Probably not Will the car last as long if you do this every time? No way in hell You may find an example of a jumper doing this here and there and getting away with it, but basing your decision on specific examples in not a good way to go, and most people exaggerate. A full D-Box will probably help a little, but in the end the chill will bite, and you have to ask if a $1000 peice of machinery is worth the $40 you got to jump it. (it may be if it already paid for itself a few times over!!) My rule of thumb (and in no way shape or form is it neccessary to make it your rule of thumb) is never bring the camera up if the temp is under 50 Degrees F on the ground. My cameras tend to last a long time.
  18. Gi-Hugist difference in jump numbers between a F-111 and a ZP. Keep that in mind when people are talkin jump numbers, most are talkin ZP.
  19. For a top mount just mount it flush with the top. If you experience problems then you can come back. I've had two completely different top mount helmets and mounted them both flush with the top. Never had a problem transitioning from RW, Tandem, AFF, Freefly. Easy stuff.
  20. Moms is readin all these posts and is getting all pumped up to come out for my 1500th...lol Break out the poporotzi (sp?)
  21. I'm not done with it yet...keep the suggestions commin. We're getting down to the wire and thinking of starting over!!! Such a hard job. Especially for a girl!
  22. It would seem so. Lets remember that G.W.Bush ran on an isolationist ticket back in 2000. Thats right peeps, he wanted to pull um back...NOT start a war. So, the question: Do events of the world change the way politians act, and the policies that erupt from them? Absolutely Is the President of the United States a prime target for our anger? Unbelievably so! Why? Easy target It would seem there is a direct correlation between the number of hours spent on the couch watching TV and the number of hours spent bitching that it's someone else's fault for their lot in life. Keep in mind people that CONGRESS holds the money bags. The president can't do much without money to back it up. Don't like it? America is so great...America will give you the opportunity to change it later this year.
  23. Your parents will start to realize that skydiving is a bunch of hype when you get a couple hundred jumps under your belt. Not the case with my Mom, she wanted to go a long time ago, but family persuaded her out of it.
  24. i couldn't do it unless i manually typed it out. i don't have any word reconizing software. i will send you a better jpeg to your email, just msg me your address
  25. Brian will really appriciate the comments for the article. I told him the inherient dangers of someone writing a skydiving article with no skydiving experience what-so-ever. He called me a bunch, and with my massive terminology and his editor screamin to make it acceptible to the readers I think he did an outstanding job altogether.
