If I remember correctly, I saw a pic of a jumper in a stand on the tandem master's back, holding on to the taught bridle of the drogue... I personally don't feel that this was a bright move at all if the student was actually a student... At best it's still a hairy situation if you ask me, but an acceptable one if everyone on the dive was experienced, and really new what they were getting into... If it was a student, I would consider a rating pull as a reasonable penalty for an instructor that would put his student in a situation like that...not too cool You can get a lot more done with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone.

I have no problem with donations to the defense fund and/or the US team...both are great causes. Shouldn't it be USSA? The United States Skydiving Association? ...since they don't recognize base as a parachute sport... You can get a lot more done with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone.

Congrats! I didn't start to base to get a number either, but as others have said, I also feel that it is a great accomplishment... Thanx Chuck... Upon further investigation, I found that the bridle I got from Birdman is no longer than the one I'm currently using. Looks like a go with the current set-up...Granted, I'll still be usin' that big f-111 p/c, but so far it has served me well... Looks like beer's on me after I return the bridle and p/c that I got from Birdman. Also, I wanted to let ya know that I enjoyed the "class" that you put on for Blair and I...It was great to meet you, and we both left with more knowledge than we had when we arrived. ...are one and the same? Went to change bridle and p/c and found that the kill-line (hate that term) bridle was sewn "permanently" to the inside of the bag. Anyone else ever seen this before? I personally will more than likely do some de-stitching to remove it, but wanted to see if anyone else had run into this. The bridle/bag/and p/c all came with the rig, which is a Javelin J1, d.o.m. I'm not sure what that handle is for, but if you're serious about this skydiving thing, be very careful...Those two parachute rigs are pretty scary...you have to put your canopy in a bag and stuff, it's like, really complicated... You have to open the switch anyway in order to disconnect/reconnect the wires from/to the switch...
