I see the name "Scovill" on the zippers of three different jackets of mine. Two of them are "work" jackets(one parka, one Ike jacket), and the other is a lightweight military jacket that I acquired somehow. Google gives you a link to Scovill Fasteners, but I saw no zippers. I also have two leathers with YYK's... Hey, what the hell brand do levi's use? Now those are some sturdy, long lastin' mofo's. I hope that the "locker room" is climate controlled... I personally wouldn't want to leave my rig in any "extreme" and or greatly varying temps...hot or cold. You can get a lot more done with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone.

I'm really surprised to see all this talk about stowing excess brake line... I've been jumping Javelins, and stowing the brake lines like that for the last three years. I thought that this was common practice. Hmmm. Did people actually "do nothing" with this excess until now? You can get a lot more done with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone.

I've stowed mine like the first example for the last 250 jumps and had no problems...I thought evryone stowed the excess there... You can get a lot more done with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone. -

Me too. And how about a way to "lock" the arm zippers down? From the factory...A good idea? Edited to add: I personally have not had any problems with mine to date, but have seen others discussing the "locks" for the arm zippers. You can get a lot more done with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone.

Ahhh...When faced with this dilemma one is dealing with the proverbial double edged sword... Too heavy a bar stool, and the climb becomes brutal. Too light a stool, and you run the risk of bringin' it back down with ya and a total. 'Tis definitely a very personal choice... (insert favorite pre-post disclaimer here) I personally use 80lb break cord, tied to a piece of dacron suspension line, which in turn i usually lark's head to the object. I connect the bridle to the break cord with a rapide(sp?)link(canopy connector link)at the p/c end. The break cord is what it sounds like: a cord designed to break at a pre-determined point. In this case, 80lbs. Most of the manufacturers sell it. As far as the 200 footer goes: I'd s/l it. But, then again, I'm a big wuss.
