  1. Does anyone know where to get a good pair online? Thanks
  2. So, if you know you could fuck up, why are you jumping that thing? If you do kill someone, I hope you live to tell the family of the jumper exactly what you posted here. You dying would be the easy way out. Yes, mad respect for you being homeless and then getting a job that allowed you to skydive. Disrespect for you not respecting the danger that happens in swooping, and the lives you can permanently fuck up before you're experienced enough to handle that canopy. Do not come to Skydive Dallas.
  3. If he flew like that while I was in the air, I'd break his fucking legs! So this is why my instructors always preached for me to practice my flat turns.... Still do practice them. Gotta avoid stuff like this at the last few hundred feet apparently.
  4. What shocks me the most, is that an inexperienced jumper is so belligerent with those that have a very rich knowledge of the sport. I'm very new to the sport, only 67 jumps, and love continuing to learn from those that are far more knowledgable than me. Is this common, or his he a fluke?
  5. Lol, glad to hear it. I love the sport and the adrenaline, but I don't like pain. At all. Blue skies!
  6. Glideangle, That's a good answer. I have no problems leaving the Katana in climate storage for a good long while. Don't want to hurt/kill myself. Thanks, Mike Brown
  7. How many jumps have you made? 60 How big was your student canopy? 210 How big was your first own canopy? 189 How many jumps did you make on it? 30 Were you able to complete all of Bill von's exercises on your first owned canopy? Yes How big was your second "owned" canopy? N/A How many jumps did you make on your second canopy? N/A Were you able to complete all of Bill von's exercise on your second canopy? N/A Note: Taking canopy course next month on 189, do not plan on jumping the 170 until August to September. Plan on having 100+ jumps by then.
  8. To start jumping a 170 Katana? I've purchased a second rig that contains a 170 Katana. I'm planning on swapping it out with a semi elliptical canopy like a 170 Sabre2 or a Safire2 169 until I can master the size differential. I've been jumping a Safire2 189 at 1.08:1 wing loading. My wing loading on a 170 will be about 1.18:1. Any feedback is welcome, I am willing to learn.
