The WFFC is Don's vacation from the "real world." He just happens to invite as many others along as would like to come, and share a bit of the expense.

If you think the stress of what could, or does, happen at the WFFC would deter him, you are quite wrong.

Would you lose a taste for your vacation time? I think not.

Whatever reasons Don had for pulling the plug for a couple of years, they were his reasons, and his alone.

I consider Don a friend. And as such, will stand beside him, whatever he decides to do in the future.

Persnally, I would LOVE to go back to Rantoul, at least one more time, if only to bid the convention the farewell it truely deserves.

So, in my honest and humble opinion, there needs to be at least one more WFFC. And I'm quite certain there will be. Eventually.

I've used www.esmarttax.com for a few years now. 1st year they were on their own, then they were purchased by liberty tax service. I tried them the 1st year because my accountants' figures just didn't seem right. Boy, was I right. Over $2600.00 (combined state and federal) more that I got back.

Last year a friend went to H&R. Came back with the paperwork and asked me to look it over. Ran it through the online forms, and found a bunch of deductions that were missed (small business owner) to the tune of $1895.00 less that she had to pay in.

As long as the prices for this service stay around where they are (CHEAP!), I'm sold.

Can't remember the last time I saw one on a shelf though. I do have one here, for test purposes, but that will be replaced by an lcd soon too.

Bull hockey. Given that a great number of monitors today are lcd, and a fair more crt's will be replaced with lcd's, it's a load of manure.

The lcd backlight stays on as long as you are using the computer. It just switches pixels on and off. Cost savings? Little to none.

Crt's aren't much different. They are still powered on if you're using the computer, regardless of the colors on the screen.

Screen saver mode? Yep, saves the screen from burn in, but it's still powered on.

Want to save energy? Change your dispay settings to put the monitor to sleep with 5 minutes of idle time, instead of the hours it's probably set for, if it actually powers down at all.

By the time people get to the carpet in my house, there's no need for shoes.
And laminate is soooo much easier to keep clean!
