He may, however, have lost his taste for WFFC. Despite the waivers, I am sure he gets sued over the fatalities that happen at nearly every one of the events. That hassle combined with low or no profit could wear anyone down.

After hanging with Don, on and off the DZ, I'll have to add my inflation adjusted 2 cents here.

The WFFC is Don's vacation from the "real world." He just happens to invite as many others along as would like to come, and share a bit of the expense.

If you think the stress of what could, or does, happen at the WFFC would deter him, you are quite wrong.

Would you lose a taste for your vacation time? I think not.

Whatever reasons Don had for pulling the plug for a couple of years, they were his reasons, and his alone.

I consider Don a friend. And as such, will stand beside him, whatever he decides to do in the future.

Persnally, I would LOVE to go back to Rantoul, at least one more time, if only to bid the convention the farewell it truely deserves.

So, in my honest and humble opinion, there needs to be at least one more WFFC. And I'm quite certain there will be. Eventually.

I decided I'm gonna go to a boogie.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to pick my boogie. (Stay away from my nose, Twardo!:P)

So, of all the boogies this year, which should I attend?

    WFFC.

    Oh, yea....

    Nevermind. [:/]:(

Apparently my daughter's boyfriend thinks so! :o

I'm the reason he doesn't like coming over to our house. He didn't say that about my husband, her dad or step-mom. I've always been perfectly cordial to him; do you think he can tell that I don't like him? Sweet...I have him under my thumb, exactly where I want him. >:(

Seriously, was anyone else intimidated by me when they met me? I'm really just an ol' softie, I swear! :)

    Was? God, I still am.

Regardless of hor cordial you are to him, he'll know if you like him or not.

I'm cordial to pretty much everybody. That doesn't mean I like them, and most know it too.

I hear how hot she is all the time. It has to be true.

No, not really. I think they just like to kiss my ass so it might help them if they're in danger of being banned. "But Skymama, you can't ban me...remember how I said you have a nice ass?"

Nah, I'm not usually in ban territory.

Even bundled up in the cold Dublin air, that ass was like a magnet. All eyes around would see it, and get stuck there. B|

  6. I've used www.esmarttax.com for a few years now. 1st year they were on their own, then they were purchased by liberty tax service. I tried them the 1st year because my accountants' figures just didn't seem right. Boy, was I right. Over $2600.00 (combined state and federal) more that I got back.

Last year a friend went to H&R. Came back with the paperwork and asked me to look it over. Ran it through the online forms, and found a bunch of deductions that were missed (small business owner) to the tune of $1895.00 less that she had to pay in.

As long as the prices for this service stay around where they are (CHEAP!), I'm sold.

  7. The site author has a certain way with words, that's for sure...

While reading his words about the Roost, I came across a little gem that only those true Wisconsinites could understand...

  9. Bull hockey. Given that a great number of monitors today are lcd, and a fair more crt's will be replaced with lcd's, it's a load of manure.

The lcd backlight stays on as long as you are using the computer. It just switches pixels on and off. Cost savings? Little to none.

Crt's aren't much different. They are still powered on if you're using the computer, regardless of the colors on the screen.

Screen saver mode? Yep, saves the screen from burn in, but it's still powered on.

Want to save energy? Change your dispay settings to put the monitor to sleep with 5 minutes of idle time, instead of the hours it's probably set for, if it actually powers down at all.

I even tried having a stiff drink! That didn't really help either!

Sucks, because I need to be up by 10am daily.

You found a bar that opens THAT early? :P

I know of one here that opens at 6, and 2 more that open by 7. :P:P:P

Locked into the GPS no doubt!

    Nice "stare"! LMAO!

btw, no gps needed, as both are walking, or stumbling, distance away from the house, depending which direction you are going.

On the other hand, "her" house, as of September, is NOT easy walking distance, which is a good thing!

I was trying not to sleep too late this afternoon, so i could fall asleep tonight. I don't think it's working.

Welcome to my world. I've gotten so used to staying up to talk to my girlfriend on her breaks (12:30am and 3am) and after work (6am) that I have a hard time sleeping any other time. Sucks, because I need to be up by 10am daily. [:/]

I’m almost done removing all of the carpet in my house. The filth and dust underneath the carpet is disgusting and cannot be healthy. Also, pets and carpet don’t mix. If you want cushion comfort, throw rugs work well and are easy to clean. If you must have carpet, it pays to invest in a good carpet-cleaning machine and vacuum and clean them often.

When I remodeled this house (yes, the entire house) in '03 and '04 I installed laminate and ceramic tiles in every room except the 2 upstairs bedrooms. I like the laminate so much that in my current re-do, I just cut the laminate where the new wall is going, rather than tear it out.

By the time people get to the carpet in my house, there's no need for shoes. :)
And laminate is soooo much easier to keep clean!

I have a PS3, Sony 5.1 surround and Phillips Amni-light LCD flatscreen. I use a regular HDMI cable from PS3 to TV for picture and a digital optical cable for audio from PS3 to sound system. Awesome everything!!!!

Sounds great, but something tells me the optical cables are expensive. I'm poor. [:/]

I need some hobbies for the winter season until my transfer semester starts.

    Current hobbies are:

    Tango Class
    Rumba Class
    Breakdance Class
    house dance Class
    Play classical guitar
    Interweb
    Drinking

Those are your hobbies, and you have time to pick up another? Damn!

If you already play classical guitar, why not move on to another instrument? I'd say piano, but that's difficult in an apartment with room mates. There are quite a few good digital pianos now though, but they certaily aren't cheap...
