  1. So, not only is leaving the plane no longer the jumpers' responsibility, getting pin checks are not either? The fact that rig was jumped for a month before finding that pin says volumes about the safety attitude of the TI's that jumped that rig. How many TI's in that month have endangered the lives of how many passengers by not doing something as basic in safety as doing a pin check. FWIW, I've never been to Lodi, nor have I met Bill or Kathy. Yes, you are right, things need to be done. Let's start by grounding the unsafe instructors, huh? It's your life, live it! 2. I can't believe I'm reading this. Did Bill point a gun at these people and tell them, with force, to get out? The last I checked, you are STILL responsible for your own safety in skydiving. If these people that are going to testify know it should be pitched nose down, WTF did they exit? There is a waiver, and I seriously hope Bill countersues for all his legal costs. I rarely find myself siding with a DZO, but this is unbelievable. You get in the plane. You ride to altitude. You check the spot. You give corrections, and you decide when to exit the plane. If it's not safe, YOU don't leave. Period. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1
  3. Uh, for the first time in my life, I actually want to move to the UK. Somebody slap me, quick! It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1

  5. I love it, but there has been reported issues. Like freezing up when using bluetooth and a few nit-picky things. I haven't tried it with my headset, as I found the earpiece volume to be acceptable, even in my semi (unlike many of the reviews.) It is sweet. It's your life, live it! 6. OK, I don't care what J says here that might discourage this due to his missing humor, so I'll speak up. Yes, Please. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1
  7. I was going to get the Crackberry 8830 World Edition. Reason? Alltel is a CDMA network, but that phone they finally offered has a SIM slot, to pop in a card for when you are somewhere they don't cover. Pretty unique I think from a business standpoint. Decided the screen wasn't big enough though. So I went with the HTC PPC6800. I'm happy as a pig in shit with it. It's your life, live it! 8. So, Todd, assuming that Wissota is open during the weekdays in the summer and I make it up there, are you gonna help me get past this poser thing? Promise I won't hurt ya, ok? It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1
  9. That sounds about right. My home, in '03, appraised for about 15,000 less than purchace price. The market around here didn't skyrocket like alot of other areas in the country. Value rise has been low, to moderate at best. My small rise in appraised value, combined with my actually making my payments ahead of time (I usually sit about 6 months paid for in advance, I have no pre-payment penalties) and an extensive remodel job which I took a 2nd mortgage out for has me sitting right now with a loan that has a pay off value about 35,000 less than the house is worth, in a realistic market, and that's figuring amounts for both mortgages. Not bad considering the median home value around here is about 135,000 (I'm a bit below that, 95-ish, until the next walk through appraisal happens, then I'll be well over it. ) p.s. I posted about this before on other threads and my paperwork isn't right in front of me, so the numbers might be a bit off, but you get the idea. It's your life, live it! 10. Yeah, but there's so many to choose from lately, how do I decide where to start? You can start with me, if you promise to let me look at your butt more. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1
  11. When I was in the market for a home a few years ago, I was shown an assortment of condos, townhouses, and standalone houses, by developers/builders in a large development area on the South side of Denver. EVERY one of them told me that same thing. No offence Tetra, but with all the press these BS no money down mortgages have been getting lately, you are STILL looking into one? You have to look at each mortgage individually, Remi. I bought my house in '03 with a zero down mortgage. It was through my local bank, and it's a standard 30 year with no points. No money down isn't the same as interest only. Those are what's screwing the system right now. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1

  13. Nah, bud, it's you. Amazing how laying on your back under an airplane with a super wide angle lens makes it look like you are actually in the air, huh? I gotta know though. Leaning out like that, did it hurt much when you face planted the tarmac? It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1
  14. Well, Todd, this is one Huge poser Duche Bag bag that plans on coming to your DZ this year because he's heard so much good about the vibe, and lack of elitist attitudes. Many of those positive comments coming in the last few days from people around the country. Well, we'll always have Fat Annie. I can understand that viewpoint from some skygods that make jumping their lives, but when it comes from an S&TA, well, I get a little wary. It's your life, live it! 18. I agree with pretty much everyone here in making a good skydiver, but what makes a great skydiver? Duh, all of the above, and gear that matches! It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1
  19. I heard on CNN, I think, that it could be blamed on ATC. They gave him the runway, and that heading had SEVERE crosswinds. The second attempt was on a perpendicular runway, into the wind as it should have been the first time. It's your life, live it! 20. Leave it there on the floor for now. I'll be right down to help you out. after I get there you can bend over to pick it up, and then I'll give you your "hug." It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1
  21. I can't pick any of those poll choices. You see, Chuck Norris can take anyone out with his bare hands, if he needs them at all. For this reason Scott wins, period. Chuck would still be miles away from Scott, and never know what hit him. Now, Scott Campos vs Chuck Blue? THAT would be epic. Luckily, it will never happen. Those two are too cool to ever be on opposite sides of, well, anything.
  22. Hopefully it wasn't Wissota. I would have a hard time figuring out how anyone could find that place unsociable. No,it wasn't Wissota. I'm really going to try and make it there this year, though as I've stated before, I can only jump mid week this year. I'm hoping when I do make it there that Todd remembers me. It seems Mr. Kirlin forgot he had a full time spotter L/M for Fat Annie for a jump. We did make a good team taping the skin behind her new "in flight door" with red masking tape while climbing though.
  23. Depends on if you're saying online or live. Lately, live has been paying for pretty much everything I do, including the online poker. It's your life, live it! Karma RB#684 "Corcho", ASK#60, Muff#3520, NCB#398, NHDZ#4, C-33989, DG#1
