  1. Looking to travel cheap, stay at dz's or with locals etc. I want to go on a skydive vacation for not too much many. What is a good place to go to check out different Dzs over maybe a 2 week trip. Fairly busy and preferably near the ocean. Thinking, Mexico, aust, Greece, us Hawaii, fairly open. Next Jan or so.

I bought this rig in the spring of 2013 so I have been jumping it for almost a year (about 70-80 jumps). The rig is inexpensive with great quality and comfort. I ordered all the extras including padding, articulating harness, stainless components. It was shipped on time and arrived in BC within 2 weeks of shipping. Myself and others have jumped it and really like it. as it is my first rig I needed it to fit a 170 because I was not quite ready to go to a 150 when I made my purchase. i have now gone to a 150 and it still fits great. They say I can also downsize to a 135 and seeing the fit I have no doubts. This rig will last me a very long time and was much less in cost than any other new custom rig I could find. Lets be honest this freed up $$$100's for jumps. My dealer is Bryan Cavage and he has been quick to respond to questions and patient with me when it was getting close to ship date and had none. I just ordered and received a Hurricane 150 custom parachute and colored risers to match my rig. I will review once I have a few more jumps but the first two were fantastic. Customer service has been fabulous and quick
  3. Warning to all CSPA members. Apparently the new code is you can't jump in the US without at least a temp USPA license ($65). ..This is what Slohomish explained after we went through 6 page double sided waiver, someone going through my container with a fine tooth comb (surprised he didn't make me unpack it). Said my rigger who packs my reserve has to be FAA certified (American), waiting around for a load to be put together...total 2 hours to jump one jump and not get to... We told every person we came across we were Canadian. I was gearing up and dirt diving when I was finally pulled aside and explained. That you have to have a temp USPA license ($65). This should have been mentioned by the girls at the front desk as soon as we mentioned we were from Canada... We could have jumped in Abbotsford instead...we did not get to jump due to time limitations after waiting for 2 hours....
  4. I started diving this year and really only have Okanagan skydive to go on. Everyone was always willing to help with questions and answers. Random barbeques, professionalism with alot of fun. Can't wait for next year.
