What year was the above CGI video done? Got a neighbor that said he was there when the Strat was CGI jumped. Does anyone know if that was the only time, or was there others? Blues-

OK kids, here's what I'm looking for. My bride and I are going to Hawaii in late June for our 25th anniversary. Once upon a time I was stationed at Pearl Harbor for 4 years. Wanted to find someone that was active duty military that wouldn't mind taking us on the base for about 15 minutes to show the wife and to reminisce. Can anyone help a brother out? Just tore off the old TRV22 and got my spiffy new CX100 mounted up and am headed out the door to go to the DZ to video meat. Discovered what looks like a HUGE step backwards in technology with the new camera. PLEASE tell me i'm an idiot and am missing something. I use linear editing and I can't figure out a way to make the camera playback in slow motion (for the exit, selected portions of freefall, etc.) and there certainly wasn't a remote with it in the box. I know about the "Smooth Slow Record" mode...that's not what I am after. I need to slow down the playback ( and slow motion reverse- for reversing the exit...deployment, etc.) would be nice. Please don't spin me towards editing on my 'puter to get that effect. The old TRV22 did the job excellently. Surely this camera hasn't gone backwards in technology. Thanks in advance. OK guys...I'm not a bright guy. Got a CX100 on the way to replace the old, tired (but trusty) TRV22. Question is...surely the thing can't take stills while recording video, can it? (Saw the switch adapter for stills on Paragear.) And if so, does it interrupt or bother the video, and what quality are the stills? OK kiddies...been flying my Flat Top Pro (mostly tandem video work) with essentially the same set up for about 5 years and everything is still working fine, BUT........want to modernize and upgrade, so you guys get to pimp my camera helmet with me paying the bill! What I am flying now: Sony TRV-22 w/generic .5 wide angle Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS w/ 28-55 lens set at 28 What I am leaning towards: Sony HDR CX100 Maybe keeping, maybe upgrading to a newer/faster EOS camera. Note: It MUST be a compatible model as I have a gazillion dollars in lenses and am simply not willing to do away with and/or start over on lenses. OK...so tell me what do I want! Let the games begin! Chip passed away yesterday at Skydive Carolina while under canopy doing a tandem. For those that knew him you knew 2 things about him: 1- He was a self-proclaimed "Drogue-Ho", and 2- He was as nice a guy as you'd find on any DZ. Met him as a first time jump student at Skydive Walterboro years ago. Chip also told me what may be the funniest skydiving story I have ever heard: He was doing a tandem (surprise) somewhere in Florida with a name camera flyer (that I can't recall right now). The camera flyer was on his back with one foot on the tandem student's chest, and the student holding his foot (I know, I know). The camera guy "burbled up" and brushed by the student briefly being chest to chest with the student. After that Chip said he saw "a flash of color" a couple of times and then saw what it was. There in the student's hand was the camera guy's cutaway pillow and cable! He waved the camera guy in, showed it to him, and then mouthed to him "IT SUCKS TO BE YOU!!!"
