  1. Thanks for all the replies. I won't be filling out a profile, as I won't be posting here anymore. And no, I'm not a troll. I've never jumped. I was inspired to come to this site by the work of Jeb Corliss. However, based upon the horror stories I've read, and my less-than-perfect health, I think I'll leave flying through the air to others.   2. How hard are hard openings? Could they snap the spine? Can they be mitigated/prevented? Are they common? Thanks.

  4. I was nailed by a drunk driver years ago. I'm in my 30s with the back of an 80 year old. I'd like to skydive, but have heard that under ideal circumstances, one hits the ground with the force of jumping from 10 feet above the ground without a chute. Is this true? If this is the case, I don't think that my back could take it. any thoughts? Thanks.
