  1. Just as a suggestion, 1.35 for a reserve is too high. I need to be taking this to my instructor. Thanks for pointing that out Quagmirian. Dreaming for 6 years of skydiving, and after getting my AFF, I regretted waiting for so long! To everyone over there, stop dreaming and start doing. Blue Skies!!!
  2. Thanks man, that is what I was looking for, looks like I am going to go for the M6, try to improve my packing skills for a while before jumping! I appreciate your help with this. Dreaming for 6 years of skydiving, and after getting my AFF, I regretted waiting for so long! To everyone over there, stop dreaming and start doing. Blue Skies!!!
  3. Thanks for your reply JWest, I have already bought the Sabre 230. My wingloading on the Sabre 2 230 is going to be 1.1, on a 190 it will be 1.35 (Which is what I am going to stick with for the next few years). I am not sure I know what bottomless corners are, so you are saying that an M6 should fit the Sabre230? Being a skydiver in Libya helps no one. We have no dropzones here. You could jump with the military team if you know some people. That is why I am buying and not renting, because I just can't rent. 4. Hi All, I went on and got my self a used Sabre 2 230 and a Smart 190. I decided to go for a new container and was wondering if the Mirage G4 M7 could fit a 190 canopy safely? If not, would the Mirage G4 M6 be able to tight-fit the 230 Sabre2? The MirageSys sizing guide show that each rig can downsize only one size. https://www.miragesys.com/sizing-guide/ Cheers. 5. I guess that you aren't a tourist in the sport anymore? Haha, apologies for digging up this 8 years old comment. Dreaming for 6 years of skydiving, and after getting my AFF, I regretted waiting for so long! To everyone over there, stop dreaming and start doing. Blue Skies!!!
  6. Glad you made it safe mate. It was three days after doing my first AFF jump. The first time jumping alone, so excited about graduating. The jump went perfect, I pulled at 1,600meters (5,200feet) and everything looked normal in beginning, except for that weird line going over my big 280 Navigator canopy (Line-over). Things got a little bit serious and the first thing I thought about was "SHIT, I WANT TO GO HOME" I kept hearing my instructor on the radio screaming "AHMED PDS PDS PDS". ("PDS Procedure de Secure, French for Cutaway."), I managed to cutaway and land walking with a reserve ride. Best adrenaline rush I have ever had, wouldn't want to try it again though. 7. Thanks Deimian. My wingloading is going to be 1.1 under this canopy and I am planning on jumping something between 100 - 200 jumps before thinking of selling and buying a new gear. 8. Hi, I hope that this doesn't sound like a silly request but I am wondering if it is possible to add Libya to the country list? Thanks. 9. Hi All, I've decided to buy my first rig I have jumped a Navigator 280 in my AFF and since then I have jumped Nav 260 - 240 with smooth landings. So I have been thinking of getting a rig with a Navigator 220. I have looked around and found an offer from a Czech skydiving club called Jump Tandem www.jump-tandem.cz. Offered Rig: Harness 01/03 Atom Evolution Reserve chute 08/00 Techno 240 Main canopy 10/03 NA 220 Attached is an image of the rig sent to me by the club. The price for the whole rig is 1000 euros which is around 1250$. The main has 1100 jumps on it. I am no expert in skydiving, and living in a country with no place to buy a rig doesn't help as well. So I am looking for an opinion on whether this rig is a good deal or not. I realize that the container itself is quite old. I am planning to jump ~200 on my first used gear till I think of investing in a good rig. Dreaming for 6 years of skydiving, and after getting my AFF, I regretted waiting for so long! 10. In my first jump, I remember that I have gotten my butt a really good spank, my thigh straps weren't tight enough, they did cause me a great amount of pain. Fixed my problems and I believe that was the end of my pain. need to train my butt muscles to avoid any future pain in the BUTT! 11. Thank God you are safe Sam, I have finished my AFF on the 6th of December, and on my graduation jump, I had a line-over just like you did, glad to hear that you handled it well. 13. Hi Everyone, I was going through the safety section in the website, and found two old topics (pages) that had many wrong pictures, there was only one picture that is repeated over and over in the whole page, the links two these pages are as following, Landing Challenges: http://www.dropzone.com/safety/Emergencies/Landing_Challenges_851.html Parachute Malfunctions: http://www.dropzone.com/safety/Emergencies/Parachute_Malfunctions_847.html I don't know what other pages have the same problem, but these two are what I came across, Attached you will see what I am referring to here, Blue Skies, Dreaming for 6 years of skydiving, and after getting my AFF, I regretted waiting for so long! Beni Mellal

I went there with a friend of mine, since it is the nearest location for me to have an AFF course, because of the lack in dropzones in Libya. We stayed in a small, quiet, clean, and nice hotel called Les Bellas Terrasse, where it was close to both the city and the drop zone. We were the first jumpers of the season, since the season of skydiving in Beni-Mellal starts at the 29th of November, and even though there were only 3 students at that week, they didn't turn us down, and we had a VIP treatment, as they turned the plane for just 3 students, the instructors were more than experienced, and helpful, they gave us every piece of information we needed, always insisting that if we had a question we shouldn't hesitate. Our ground instructor "Drese" was Moroccan who spoke Arabic, English and French. While the other three instructors, "Pierre" my instructor, "Fabian", and "Regice" were French, but we had no problems dealing with them as they speak English well. They were very experienced, and helpful, never treated us like there is a difference in experience. I would really revisit Beni-Mellal in my next vacation, just to skydive with these great guys. Overall, I would really recommend this dropzone to anyone who wants to start his/her skydiving experience. Blue Skies,
  15. Thanks for the advice BobxMarley. I finished the AFF on the 5th of December, my 7th jump was a really nice solo jump. I must have been really unlucky, on my first solo jump (7th jump), I had a low speed malfunction (lines tangled around the parachute), and couldn't fix it, so I had to commence my emergency procedure. I just can't wait to jump again. Dreaming for 6 years of skydiving, and after getting my AFF, I regretted waiting for so long! To everyone over there, stop dreaming and start doing. Blue Skies!!!
