  1. while depression answers are as long as a piece of string I would advise to take some time off skydiving, then go back and make 1 jump, solo, flat and do nothing, just go limp and relax while your falling, hell close your eyes if you want then pull and have some fun under canopy making things simpler helps more than changing your life in one aspect or another I skydive to relax and it helps great with my depression, I dont try to be great at anything, just be happy doing something that makes you smile, its your body, do what you want.
  2. while in the plane, about halfway up, let out the nastiest, dirty silent fart you can, the type that could gag a rat. relaxes you, and the whole plane.
  3. its a internet hype thing going on at the moment, unless the site uses openSSL, or you use the same password for every site, then you should probably change it if not, then dont worry! out of curiosity, what program are you using that gave you the pop up?
  4. this one is more a research idea than a product (could be used as a product, or a service?) basically its a multiple parachute identifier and recorder. 4 "searchers" placed in 4 corners of the landing area these look at everything in the air, ie when parachutes open, it records where they open and in which direction, as the other parachutes open, it also records these. it could then show you via computer a 3d image of all the recordings. while you might think "oh you can just look at the sky" I think over the period of a day or a week, you could gather some amazing data about openings and flight patterns, ie do people always follow a certain path due to run in? how many close calls are there, whats the average distance of tracking from a 4 way? etc. might not be suitable for your project but if anyone else wants to have a go, theres the idea :D
  5. You're asking for Google Glass, and either way people don't want a low quality camera (even a GoPro has 'good' resolution) I'm sure there's the technology available, just that no one is willing to spend the money. We have stuff that trains astronauts. You realise how massive the first project will have to be? Engineers, physicists, parachute consultants, sure, we can have it, but find someone to pay the money. he asked for idea's, I gave them, the helmet idea isnt google glass as they are glasses, I asked for a fullface that has a decent (ie gopro or better) camera built in to it, hopefully not as an "add on" looking thing, something smooth that you wouldnt actually notice unless you where looking.
  6. a helmet that has a camera built in, thats comfortable, doesnt make you look like a tit, and is a full face, that doesnt fog. a skydiving simulator, basically a hanging harness that has a screen of a floor, that simulates you under a fully functioning canopy of your choice, so that you can practise what happens on your toggles or on your rear/front risers, and it gives you that feel of being under a canopy, but your actually only 3 feet from the floor. it would need to be big so that it can spin you around like your on a normal canopy, and to attach the same sense as normal. you could call it the swoop master, then people can learn to swoop on a machine, and then swoop in real life, hopefully without killing themselves, as they have practised not killing themselves on the machine basically a wind tunnel for canopies. of course you want to make this machine, your gonna have to give me at least 80% of what you make :D
  7. where are you based? and what level did you get to?
  8. yes, its the main reason I skydive. jump out, and not have to worry about anything for those 50 seconds, just relax and not give a hoot. and then you have to snap back and realise its dangerous as hell and the stress of life hits you with a hard opening :D
  9. Assuming the person isnt knocked out. I've jumped out and then gone fully relaxed, you dont flip over, you just go faster, you might backslide a little, but thats about it.
  10. as your saying its going to cost blah blah in £, then I assume your from the uk good luck finding anyone who will let you wear a camera ;) unless you want to pay the person double or more than what you would normally, they wont allow you to wear a camera hell most centres only let you wear frap hats, not full on helmets, so your next best bet is a chest strapped gopro. but again, I highly doubt anyone will let you wear one...good luck though.
  11. 5.5k for any breakoff/stop dicking about 4k for pull time 3k for dumb fuck tracked too long all these are 500feet off what is normal, as I use the audible as a warning, it means stop and take a look at your alti, those extra seconds come in handy sometimes
  12. Dubai has 2 drop zones palm is 500 jumps minimum, desert is big and open, still nice though. not sure about accommodation but its not near anything. Seville has a Dornier g92 to 15k full time, but if its busy they can have 2 there, or 4 if they really want. (they share with Hibblestow in the UK) its got lots of accommodation close, but yes you might want to hire a car. no idea about Lillo
  13. I have a safire2 189, its beautiful to fly, flare is awesome. since its coming from a dropzone, if you a near, go test it. pm me if you want to know some more info about them.
  14. put it in your helmet and it will be fine I had mine on my wrist, said I hit 232mph at 6k, turns out it was the change when tracking. once in helmet it will be fine, set the canopy alarms to good distances and you will be fine under canopy anyway.
