  1. Think that is the main that landed in the camping area. If it was I acctually seen some one run under it and catch it. Took it straight to Dave. Check out Skyhook Velo 111 close call on youtube Thats my chop under spinning line twists. not even a single half twist in my reserve! I

  5. Its not just new skydivers that are scared of 182s. My first AFF jump in the late 90's I climbed up to altitude in a porter. Then My radio quit working right before exit. we descended and climbed into the 182 to complete my jump with a new radio. Well needless to say the video guy was $hittin bricks. Seriously I was calmer than this guy... lol After we where back on the ground he told me that he owed me beer for his first and last 182 jump in over 2000 jumps. I teach all my students that yes the climb out is the hardest and most un-natural thing you will ever do. but dont worry about falling off. just have a firm grip and footing and enjoy whats about to come. 6. This is directly responding to you DocPop but kinda is due to this statement Good discussion on Skydive Radio show 119 I believe with Frankie from Skydive Chicago. Talks about his double mal due to cutting away a pilot chute in tow before reserve deployment. direct show link: http://hw.libsyn.com/p/d/9/9/d993f6e21d1b381a/sr119_07_15_09.mp3?sid=b204e778a2370add0b3bbe1b5a0444d0&l_sid=21714&l_eid=&l_mid=2011400 Chris It's Jimmy Time!! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Team-Fast-As-Fuck/6099474213
  7. So I was at Skydive Chicago last Friday on a fun jump load where 3 Accuracy jumpers where getting out low to do what they do. Dennis Murphy was in the door. the door light comes on he opens the door and continues to look out. Now he is not looking inside and obviously not paying attention to the green light. When the green light does come on he "does not notice it" after about 5 seconds or so people from the back of the plane start asking does he know the light is on? after approx 10 seconds people seemed really concerned and holler... The green light is on you can go. HAHAHAHAHAHA Dennis does not even look up and continues to spot. after a few more seconds he looks back into the plane smiles and leaves. followed by the other two jumpers who each stopped and looked at their spot before exit. Now I am a relative newbie in the sport still in my mind. I love being around the "grey beards" of our sport and listening cause I always walk away learning something. But to sit at a turbine dz and listen to the new jumpers just not fully understand where we started? PRICELESS!! Sorry I just have to chuckle sometimes they are so damn cute. 12. Very true but I still do not want to see someone die no matter how much $ its gonna make the dropzone. I am sure that a dropzone run based on revenue building and not safety will soon rack up deaths and be out of buisness cause no one will want to jump there. Because it UNSAFE! Not sure what is going on now adays with "young" jumpers but damn it man if this is the future instructors of our sport I am a little worried. 13. Quad City Skydiving Center gives out a first jump certificate and a can koozie to all first jump students. Be it AFF or Tandem. Chris It's Jimmy Time!! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Team-Fast-As-Fuck/6099474213
  14. There is a reason there are fossils in this sport. Keep up with your thinking and you will not have to worry about being one of them. Put the camera away and focus on your skydiving it might just save your life. Ever hear of a pilot chute getting caught in a burble and sticking itself to velcro or a "camera" mounted on a shoe? Its happened but nothing bad can come of a hundred jump wonder with a camera. Chris It's Jimmy Time!! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Team-Fast-As-Fuck/6099474213

  16. So what your saying is Nick does not have the "SKILLS" to pack a student canopy well. If that is the case then I totally agree with you! I gotta start running that Grillet kid has long legs and I bet can out run me! Please point him in the opposite direction so I can get a head start.................................. 23. Masking up the liner before sanding will help keep contamination out of the fabric. I have painted many helmets and have painted my own 3 times each time sanding down with 180 grit then wet sanding with 320 before primer. Never had any issues. The sandpaper any more is far stronger than the paint. worst case u will have dust everywhere. But nothing a good can of compressed air will not take care of. Chris It's Jimmy Time!! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Team-Fast-As-Fuck/6099474213
  24. Check with Auto paint supply stores. Such as one that sell PPG paints some of them now days have the ability to package custom mixed paints into spray cans. Could get high quality paint and clear coat with out all the equipment. I think you would be happier with the results. also remember a good sealer primer as old paint and new paint sometimes react because of different chemical make-ups. Chris It's Jimmy Time!! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Team-Fast-As-Fuck/6099474213
  25. sandblasting could damage the structure of the helmet. Maybe a media blast (shells) would work. My suggestion is to sand the helmet down with sandpaper and prime/paint with automotive paint. I have painted dozens of helmets over the years. And sandblasting in my opinion would have you looking into a new factory diver or possible cracks in the future.
