  1. Please make a decision after speaking with and flying with a qualified local resource. Don't listen to people on the internet, except me of course.........

    RIP...

She looked good in a white wetsuit in Fantastic Voyage also.
  3. IMO the world would be a much better place if ALL "guns" vaporized overnight. then it's just hand to hand combat with edged weapons
  4. That would be for the Perris Valley Ghostriders. Mick added a similar flap for the CFLEX(s). C = CReW Here's a photo of me wearing mine as i backflip out of a Skyvan on a "big way".
  5. if you have the cash, sure, go for it. money buys experience
  6. but nobody thinks like that anymore Not true. Some of us still do. Thanks for the Moe memories
  7. "My Tempo 150 reserve sits pretty tight in my Vector might I be able to get a 170 low pack volume in the same reserve tray ?" in my experience a PD optimum 143 has very nearly the same pack volume as a "standard" PD 126 reserve, so moving up one size is doable if moving from standard to low pack. Ask your preferred canopy vendor to be certain
  8. looks like black death skulls have been changed black cells :-( pilot-chute-reference-chart-8-2017.pdf
  9. crap. can't easilly find the Apex BASE pilot chute black death chart. but read this https://apexbase.com/pilot-chute-selection/ no substitute for many many conversations with knowledgeable sources FACE TO FACE
  10. craig poxon from british parachuting? if so, should be easy to find.
  11. Perris, not Paris, has $20 jumps Dec 26 2022 - Jan 1st 2023
  12. the tower has been jumped many times before it was sold by Stupak to Strato. Probably jumped post strato also, but not by me or friends. how can something be "CGI jumped" and a neighbor watch it?
  13. yes but it was called the Bob Stupak tower when we were having our fun maybe Las Vegas has a very efficient police force, or at least they did back in the day.
  14. I saw him and said the same thing to Maya while watching / playing.
  15. Thanks for sharing this interesting story. must have been a good camera flyer to match your velocity, no that I know that much about head down attitude speeds.
  16. unpack your main, store it loosely folded in a waterproof container in a dark area. If you use rubber bands, don't leave them wrapped around suspension lines since the rubber may / will degrade. clean any dirt from your harness / container, leave the reserve packed and store the "rig" in a waterproof container in a dark area. take it to your rigger for an I&R several weeks prior to jumping again. Have fun.
  17. Yeah, me too. I was at the bottom. Sadly I watched Brian's daughter watch Brian go-in. Watching her running towards the river screaming "that's my dad" is still all too fresh in my mind. Lottsa controversy of the refresher training he received. Somehow I ended up in a refresher training review "tribunal". I was hounded by NPR for weeks to discuss what the "tribunal" discussed. I chose to not go on the record even though I generally like NPR. Best wishes Mike.
  18. if you have 50+ minutes to see restoration viddy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ql2dnVamzsg
  19. cypress is timed out and unuseable = no value raven may be worth $200 to right buyer Rig? if the photo showing rusty hardware is indicative of care, I would not use it only possible value from my perspective is to use it to aeroplane jump / test a BASE canopy
  20. and you typically get to WS from West to East over a pretty lake. Occasionally the marine layer reaches as far as Otay june & july and delays first load. I like consistent winds
  21. I attended the swooping world champs @ Eloy a few weeks ago. Their pond is impressive.
  22. from the fingers of the Cflex / Reflex designer / builder / manufacturer
  23. I just chatted with the current world champion WS pilot in performance category. I may be wrong but he is ~ 5'10 and 165 pounds???? definitely not abnormally tall or apey no matter what the actual values are
  24. just received my Omicron, had jumped an EPro. Only thing I can say right now is Omicron 140 seems to pack very slightly smaller than EPro 150.
