  1. Does anyone know of a good Master Rigger in the LV area? I need to have some modifications done to one of my rigs and would prefer to not ship it out... I had my gear sent once to SkyDive LV and they didn't even record the seal number against my packing card...I was almost not allowed to jump at a DZ because of it... I do not want to go back there... any ideas? thanks! Stephen [email protected]
  2. I know it is the FAA... The blatent hint I gave was that it was a Non USPA DZ... and they don't allow fun jumpers...
  3. That's what I was thinking of doing anyways... Besides, this lame DZ doesn't allow fun jumpers either... I have actually bought a second rig this past weekend anyways and will be jumping that until my new canopy comes in... On a bit of a tangent... I am looking at getting a Chute Shop ZP185... Any pros/cons? I heard it's alot like a hornet/sabre2... I fly a Hornet 190 now... Will it be very similar? Blue Skies! Stephen
  4. I travel for work alot and take my rig all around with me. I recently have gone to a DZ and they almost didn't let me jump because my freshly packed reserve seal number was not recorded on my packing card. I would not hold it against the DZ if they didn't let me jump. The rigger who packed my rig is actually from a NON-USPA DZ. Another rigger looked at it from the outside and noticed a few things that looked very sloppy. How do I handle the issue with the rigger.? What do you guys/girls recommend? Blue Skies! Stephen
  5. Cypres - $850 + Shipping - No Tax that's also saying, that those canopies are the right size for you....what's your exit weight? Steve
  6. Call Ralph Hatley!!! Western Parachute Sales...this guy has everything!!! He is shipping me my Hornet 190 as we speak!!! http://www.callralph.hatley.com/ Blue Skies! Steve
  7. Speaking of Wet.... I told a whuffo that when I jumped one time that it wasn't raining on the ground but at altitude it was and I jumped through the rain... whuffo: does it hurt? me: oh yea...I keep hitting all the pointy ends of the rain drops when i'm falling...hurts like hell! And another good one... You can jump out of a plane more than one time in a day? Even better... I tell them I get 4-5 jumps in a day and tell them it's only 18 bucks...they are like is that safe? I know someone that paid 150.... Blue Skies!
  8. Magic Carpet Ride - Steppenwolf.... Blue Skies! Steve
  9. I might have this one beat.... AFF Level 5....5th Jump.... Kinda my fault...ok..it was my fault...pulled unstable, bad line twist...spinning Manta! haha... Look Red, Grab Red, Look Silver, Pull Red, Pull Silver! WHOO HA! It Worked.... Now go get our canopy...I was kinda pissed at that comment when I got on the ground.... I'm fine, thanks for asking....prick! Steve
  10. A Sabre II 210 will give you good landings *** Actually, the Sabre2 210 that I was flying in Eloy gave me really good landings...besides the obvious fecal meal I had... I was thinking the 210 was a better idea too... The only reason I was also questioning is that PD had in a .pdf file that stated something (and this is not a quote) like when downsizing from F111 to ZeroP that up to 20sq ft is considered the similar size....don't roast me if I worded this wrong... thx Steve
  11. Hey all, I am having a real tough issue with this whole downsizing right now... Currently, I have 98 jumps in 6 months...exit weight is about 235/240...depending on how many burritos I eat for breakfast.... I fly a Falcon 235 and it has been treating me really good...I have a buyer for it and I think I am ready to go a little bit smaller and stay there for a while. 2 months ago, I ate some shit in Eloy with a Sabre2 210 on a day that was extremely gusty, they were shutting the planes down, that's how bad it was. The winds died, I went up and by the time I got back down, they picked back up...hurt my knee, but it's good as new now and ready to jump again (doctor says it looks good and MRI showed no damage) I think I am ready to do about 8-10 more on my Falcon and then move to a ZeroP...I was debating a 210 or a 190...I can also get a good deal on a Hornet right now brand new too... What do you guys all think? My idea, do 8-10 jumps on the Falcon, then try 10-20 on a Similar 210 and then settle on the 190 and stay there for over 300 jumps or more....? Suggestions? Blue Skies! Steve
