  1. Great! I have so missed you guys. And congrats on the baby, I am sure you will enjoy her so much.
  2. So great you were able to do this and find someplace that was willing to try! I am glad you want to go again. It was so nice to watch the video and see how happy you were. Kudos to everyone involved in this jump!
  3. Wanted to since I was a kid. I have no idea why it appealed to me so much. Did my first tandem this past summer 45 years later! It always stayed in the back of my mind. Planning on AFF this summer.
  4. I am sorry you are having to deal with this issue. I so agree with those who say be very careful, she WILL try to take you down with her. It is not a deliberate thing, it is a part of the sickness. The best you can do for her is to provide her resources in her community and if you believe the child is in danger, call authorities. That's a hard thing to do, one that I have had to do more times than I remember. I am a mandated reporter, you are not legally obligated, but certainly want the best for the child. If you don't know what resources are available you can call the United Way. I think in most parts of the country the number is 211.
  5. Hey Dan, that sucks! Hope you heal fast. Spring is coming. 41 in Minneapolis today. Take care of yourself.
  6. All of us trying to fight the weight battle have times like this! The key is not to beat ourselves up, but take it as a time to be kind while strengthening our resolve. I have 2 8X10 photos of my tandem's by my bed. On days I am not motivated I look at them, get my ass out of bed and hit the Y. PM message me if you need surgery, I may be able to offer something to help.
  7. I am positive my German Shepard could drive, if we let him. He would drive right to the doggie park with a stop at the DQ on his way home.
  8. Hi, so odd you would ask about this. I am new to the sport and just found a journal article about this very thing. I intended to post and ask if anyone read it and their thoughts. It is call "An Exploration of High-Risk Leisure Consumption Through Skydiving" by Richard Celsi, Randall L Rose and Thomas W. Leigh. It was published in the Journal of Consumer Research, Inc, Volume 20, Issue 1, 1993. There is some thought provoking (at least for me) information. Hope this helps a bit.
  9. Don't know if this is relevant to your situation or not, but there is a huge problem with the mesh they use for hysterectomies. Causes all sorts of pain, and other issues. Could it be the same mesh? Might be worth asking about.
