    In the spirit of the energy of Robby "Bigz" Bigley Who we lost to a tragic accident in 2009, this event is all about giving back. One of the fathers of innovation in freeflying and sequential work, Robby never charged a registration fee for his events and when not organizing world class skydives, would fun jump with anyone who walked in the hangar door and leave them walking away with a smile on their face. He saw everyone as equals and selflessly always gave back and paid it forward. In this spirit, jump numbers and tunnel time aside, for the 3rd year in a row, we will all gather to jump with those who share the sky with us, those we all "family".

    ALL of the LOs are world-class skydivers here to organize YOU for 2 full days, giving back in the best way they can. Yep, they're giving back to YOU to keep the true sense of LIFE alive. We feel so fortunate to have the talent we do in such an amazing sport, paying it forward never felt so good.

    What a great shot....so true to who they were and will always be to us.

    It's hard to believe everytime this happens that you're never going to see your friend again in this life time - puts it into perspective, everytime, how important everyone around me is and that making that evident is so important.

    I'm going to miss walking into Byron, seeing Tom crashed out on his side of the couch near the video area and his cute/graceful leg thing he did on landing. His mumbling will be missed and the "ch-ch-ch ca-ca-ca" sound he would make over the intercom at random times of the day. But I will mostly miss your understanding of me - you always put me into check with one glance when you weren't sure what I was doing, it always made me think..thanks for that.

  5. Couldn't believe it when I heard it on Saturday. We've lost another really good one.

    Mike was a wonderful person...full of energy, playful, adventurous, and a dear friend. I was so very fortunate to have known him and to have become closer to him as friends in the past couple of months.

    To his wife and everyone else that loved him, I'm so sorry. Taft has become like a 2nd home to me and is such a wonderful place; His energy will be greatly missed.

    So many wonderful times we had. From the Prarie to Rantoul, Chick's Rock to our many skydives at home; Never seizing to make me laugh and smile. I will miss the "Katana dog fights."

    It was a pleasure working ground crew for you girl...any time.

    We will miss you at girl's night - we'll hold a place for you.

    If you come with a bunch of friends you won't regret it. But just in case, check Ixtapa, Puerto Vallarta or Puerto Escondido. All are beach boogies. If you want to be inland go to Skydive Cuautla.

  16. I am in need of Alaska airline miles/unused ticket for a trip I'm taking at the beginning of October.....Have some you might spare? (I will pay ofcourse). If you have them, do you know if they can be transfered over to someone else?

    I take frequent trips and would love to take miles off of people's hands if they're not going to use them (generally on ANY airline).

  20. I'm arriving at Midway at 10:30pm Monday the 20th and could use a ride to the dz. I also put a rental car on hold (just in case) if anyone wants to share one, it's pretty cheap. I'm leaving Sunday on a 2pm flight if anyone wants to carpool back at that time.
    I also haven't secured a place to stay, so if any of you want to share a room or have any other ideas let me know. Email me.

    Whatever.....You pick apart my statements and twist them how you feel fit. Post the entire statement rather than posting which part fits for you to bash me. I haven't insulted anyone. I've actually left the door open to people to decide what they want on this issue. I am merely suggesting that I have done my research and have decided on the side I want to take. I dont' see an issue with that. I have NEVER said that someone was wrong for thinking that this issue was just or right..have I? Nope. I was merely suggesting that people need to do their research and not try to tell others what research they have or haven't done when they (namely YOU) have no idea what research I've done. As for me not writing anything concrete on this issue....there's not enough room or time for that. People can go read the hundreds of articles that are out there and form their own opinion. I posted to raise awareness.

    What side you take is your decision and I respect it. If you need to read that again, go ahead. But do me a favor, before you put words into my mouth, THINK....

  24. From reading this thread, it would appear that you've read a lot of biased, single-sourced articles and basing your "facts" on them instead of proper research.



    What I have read are 2 sides of the coin regarding this issue. Both sides are biased, both defend their opinions, feelings and ideas. That is the nature of things in this world...there are ALWAYS 2 sides to issues (if not more). I have read a great deal about both sides and have concluded that it's wrong. That is MY idea. That is MY conclusion and you don't have to agree with it or me. It seems to me that YOU have not done your research on both sides. There ARE 2 sides, both isdes have truths and myths...BOTH SIDES. And if you were to disagree with that, you would unfortunately be mistaken and uneducated yourself on this subject.

    Again, what you're missing is the fact that I have picked a side and am sticking to it and defending it. Just because you're not in agreement with me, doesn't make me uneducated about the matter. I can agree to disagree with the other side, but there are alot of you who just claim that WE (the people who are not in agreement with this issue) are uneducated about the subject and are dilusional about what is REALLY going on. It is happeneing and it's not all just and perfect....so I think that those who think that WE'RE uneducated about it need to do some research themselves.

If you need to refer back and actually READ what I said on the matter, please look at my previous posts....Still you make assumptions and juvenile stamements. I don't see the education in your statments. Let's move on.
