You find friends that are compatible together, have the same goals, and level of motivation. You all gather around a cauldron while brewing a very special potion (PM me for the recipe), then you put your right hands on your hearts and your left arms in the air and say: I DECLARE US A TEAM!! And then you find yourself a coach

Ahhh yes... I see your problem. It's not made by performance designs

Any canopy control courses being held in Toronto or Montreal?
DcloudZ replied to Keithor's topic in Safety and Training
Martin Lemay hosts Flight-1 courses at Parachutisme Nouvel-Air. There was a 101 course that was held this past Sunday. You can send him a message asking when he plans on hosting another one! I'd agree with you. To me the KA is a transition canopy for people who are building their experience with lower wingloadings. When you get to 1.8-1.9+ a crossbraced canopy makes more sense because it has more powerful controls. So you're condoning going from a Xfire2 139 to a Velo 103-111 in one step? Dave makes a good point. However, I would suggest the Katana as the intermediate step instead of the xfire though. The katana's recovery arc is more similar to the recovery arc of a velo "Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way." -Alan Watts

What elevations you set up each of your points? I have the low-speed alarms set but I don't pay attention to them "Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way." -Alan Watts

I understand what you're trying to say, but by conforming to your perspective of other people's expectations that means that it is in your personality to be someone who conforms to your perspective of other people's expectations. Therefore you are being yourself by conforming! Damn it, I'm sounding crazy "Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way." -Alan Watts

We grow up hearing the term 'Be Yourself' Say, for example, you want to get along with a certain crowd of people in school, but "being yourself" isn't attractive to this crowd and therefore you decide to change your appearance and/or act differently to get the crowd to like you. You are still being yourself. Because by definition, being yourself is acting how you would act. So 'yourself' is someone who is easily influenced or someone who conforms to others' ideals. There is no such thing as not being yourself. Had to get that off my chest, it's a fallacy!! I sadly made the mistake last year of notifying anyone and everyone I could about starting skydiving. If I could, I would take it back and keep it a secret. "Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way." -Alan Watts -

Can you describe what earning it means? Is earning it actually just finding a way to get your hands on money? Or does earning it mean creating something, or doing a service? Because the people who make the most money now days do not create anything, they simply play the game of numbers. Hedge fund managers make a lot of money but not sure what they do to earn it. Those people went to school, earned a place in a company as an underpaid, overworked intern pulling back-to-back all nighters practically sucking off their bosses to get to where they are today. Small exposure to germs, bacteria, viruses creates antibodies and strengthens your immune system. Instead of bitching about the doctors that do that, thank them. "Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way." -Alan Watts

Salaries should be based on the value you provide to the company. Not what you think you deserve to earn. Hell, if it was up to me, I'd fire anyone who walked out on the job demanding better pay; I would then pick someone from the plentiful pool of other people lining up that would be glad to do the same job for the same pay. Furthermore, if by some miracle, employers were forced to pay the 15$ an hour or what not, I would still fire the idiot who walked out demanding the higher pay and higher someone else who actually deserves it. My 2 cents. You want more money? E-A-R-N it. "Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way." -Alan Watts

Duh (to me)! Apparently I am not either thinking or communicating well! Please disregard! Haha are you suffering withdrawal symptoms? Get back in the air! But like I said, you can always just add weights while flying the bigger of the two "Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way." -Alan Watts
