  1. Lol thanks for explaining that sparky, wasn't sure what it meant :) And thanks to everyone else for the opinions, I think I'll wait it out a couple of days... I'm just really excited to finish up my A course "Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way." -Alan Watts

    Biggest Fears

Oh I second the relationships one, never thought of that but I find myself unable to maintain a long-term relationship, I get bored quickly You should expand on your fear of heights, not somethig you expect from someone who jumps out of planes! Biggest Fears

Dark green or lime green? "Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way." -Alan Watts
  4. Oh, very good point diablo. Never thought of it that way. Thanks for opening my eyes to that possibilty
  5. In a cost-benefit analysis with skydiving, hearing takes second place besides, I just got my hearing back in my left ear from the plane ride two days ago "Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way." -Alan Watts
  6. Alright guys so I just got back from vacation and I brought back a little sinus cold which is getting better pretty fast. It's been almost a week and a half that I haven't jumped so my withdrawal symptoms are peaking! The sky is so blue today! So I was wondering if it is alright that I jump with this cold. (note that I can breathe freely out of my nose). Thanks in advance for the advice guys

    Biggest Fears

Hey guys, I'm somewhat of a new poster so I thought I'd start of with a somewhat interesting topic! What is your biggest fear? There's not much that scares me so I'll have to say fish. (Weird right?) I'm not really afraid of them but I can't stand when they swim near me (weird because I don't mind sharks). Anyway that's about the closest thing to a fear that I have. I'm interested in hearing about all of your fears so shoot! Don't be shy if yours is illogical, I kind of broke the ice in regards to that "Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way." -Alan Watts
  8. There's no point in scamming him back, it most likely would not work. As for paypal, it's quite un-safe in my opinion. "Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way." -Alan Watts
  9. It was way too easy! Already took my A licence theory course and doing some wind tunnel next weekend, it would be nice to get my B license before the end of the season! and yes, lots of beer! I had to get two 24's because I tried to do a precision landing contest with my instructor on my exam jump haha (silly me) closest one to the line without passing it! Kal, hit me up if you're ever in the area! My home DZ is full of nice people
  10. At my dropzone the AFF course includes 20 minutes of tunnel time (15 minutes away from my house). So I was fortunate enough to get a lot of FF practice in before my actual jumps. I'm not sure it made much of a difference because I kept a level head and just did what my instructors told me to do and nothing was ever very complicated. If you relax and visualize what you are going to do in your jump it will greatly help you accomplish your objective during the actual jump. I suggest you redo the jump without extra tunnel time. If you end up not accomplishing the objectives again you still did another jump and that seems like a fair deal to me Relax, visualize, and have fun! 11. A true champion indeed... R.I.P Blue skies! "Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way." -Alan Watts
  12. Hello everyone, Just finished my AFF exam this weekend! I am totally in love with skydiving, never felt this way about anything before! Looking forward to sharing this new found passion with all of you! Maybe jump with some of you as well one day! Pleased to meet all of you
  13. So says the guy with 15 jumps. Wouldn't you rather keep on doing the things you love? Absolutely, but you never know what can happen. You can do everything right and still go in. Whether I end up doing 100 jumps or 10,000 jumps in my life, I'll be happier than I ever was before I started skydiving; that's what counts for me!
  14. I'd like to think that I would be totally calm and relaxed, and just flip to my back and enjoy the view of the skies that have brought me more pleasure than I could ever have imagined in my lifetime. There's nothing tragic about dying doing something you love. "Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way." -Alan Watts
  15. You know you're a skydiver when you never actually land inside a plane. "Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way." -Alan Watts
